Honestly think to single out Kent in a game where as a team we created enough gilt-edged chances to win 3 fucking matches is a bit silly.

Strikers need to be clinical especially from the penalty spot and big tall defenders with free headers in front of goal need to at least hit the fucking target tbh.

Him and Aribo both work hard but actually offered very little of quality.

Aribo had 3 opportunities to gamble at balls breaking loose around the goal line and each time was a yard or so slow.

Kent had opportunities to deliver quality but a shocking effort at goal and a poor cross in a dangerous break summed up his day.

Pretty poor return on the day from both.

Watched the highlights earlier and thought the same about aribo , the morelos shot that goes through lurch he should have been in to tap it in but didn't react quick enough

When Kent had the ball he had Brown and Frimpong next to him.  He had no space to run at people and cause havoc the way he normally does.  Barisic was too busy marking Forest so there was no overlapping full-back and little support.

Then he takes them for a walk, he draws them in and simply lays the ball off into the space he’s created by drawing them in.
If that’s the best he can do getting a wee bit of attention he might as well not play at the end of the month then.

Wouldn’t say he is being singled out. He had a poor game and it’s being discussed that’s all.

It wasn’t “a wee bit of attention” he had Brown standing beside him the entire game.  celtic obviously singled him out as one of our main threats and decided to sacrifice Brown to keep him quiet.

Whenever the opposition do this (doubling up) it’s up to the rest of the team to exploit the space left.  We did control the midfield so perhaps we did benefit from it.

So he can’t play against them again then.
We have a 7mill player that can’t play against our biggest rivals because he can’t get away from Scott Brown.
He should running rings around that poor excuse for a footballer.

It’s not silly. He’s been signed to make a difference and he was anonymous in our biggest game of the season.

He had a quiet game yesterday but I think people need to calm down a touch.

He's a quality player who will more than prove his worth as the season unfolds.

Watch him on the 29th👍

Our second most expensive player in club history needs to show up in a cup final. He didn't. Criticism is warranted. Personally, I think we paid too much for the boy and he will carry that on his shoulders.

Agreed. The lack of another player who can - or will try to - carry the ball at pace and offer a creative or finishing threat is more of a problem than Kent being inconsistent.

Can we melt the 100 other wide players down and make a shiny new right-sided one?

The whole had 2 players on him is just an easy excuse for some on here. Did it stop Son scoring having 5 or 6 around him?

There was a moment he was in a race with Brown and couldn't outrun him!

Never offered enough, Ojo is slated for similar performances.

The brown thing was weird tbh

He wasn't anonymous. If you look at the wider game as it unfolded you'd see that the attention given to Kent by the scum actually helped us control and dictate the pace.

He ran his heart out as did Jack and many others. Ultimately, he didn't have a moment of individual brilliance yesterday whereas Jack did, but he was decent enough and, unlike Morelos, he's proved himself against the unwashed previously.

For me, there's something authentic about Kent. He has proper class, he plays with heart, and he gets what we're about.
