Everything he does on the park gets highlighted and scrutinised. Sure Morelos has given plenty of ammo to his detractors - and a fair chunk of it has been idiotic on his part and attracted deserved criticism - but.............the fall out over this 'its finished' gesture is pretty absurd and he isn't getting a fair deal on this one. It is pretty clear what the gesture meant, and every sane person taking their Rangers hating specs off sees that as meaning 'the game is dead'/finished/over' - only in the madness of the Old Firm could it be interpreted otherwise. A very similar gesture gets used in this country - to mean the exact same thing! The cut throat gesture generally always mean switch it off/we are finished (a job) - depending on the context it is used. In Scotland the 'slashed' gesture - as I know it - is a single finger down the side of the face, and usually pointing at the intended target. Real world example: My work have a booth where we carry out sand blasting and ultra high pressure water jetting on metal objects. The guys carrying it out are in air fed suits and can't hear anyone from the outside - but there is a window in the booth so visual contact is maintained to the outside. The gesture used for them to finish and come out of the booth is...... slicing the hand across the throat (and usually point the thumb behind the shoulder immediately after). There is more mileage for them to be offended in Kents celebration tbh..... but they are probably still struggling to get over Amato's archer celebration, when hundreds nearly died in a hail of imaginary arrows.
