We only heard one sample of abuse that day, there's no way that was the sole racist chant that day and its defiantly not a young boy we heard, there will have been dozens maybe hundreds of racist chants that day, Seems this 12Yr old is being flung under the bus to deflect from a far bigger problem

Despicable bastards are capable of anything, and that kid was not on his Todd.
58,200 screamed with vile hatred every time he touched the ball and you could bet your fuckin house on a large percentage of it was racially motivated, and they have pinched a 12 year old kid.
The video that did the rounds was within earshot and sight of half a dozen plod, and the sole abuser turns out to be a 12 year old reeks of shite.
Me personally would love the  job of refusing the bastards who were alluded to in the statement, entry into Ibrox by shredding any pass they possess and tossing it into their coupons with a satisfied sneer.

Fergie refused to speak to the BBC after they made a doco about his son. Nothing to do with Man U.

Ferguson was pretty thin skinned. Once refused to speak to Man U TV for a while too.

Sure I remember man u having some kind of media ban, could be the memory playing tricks

Well I must apologise to the board. I have been very critical and calling them all sorts because of their lack of response regarding Alfredo. I didn’t know there was a live investigation and even though I think celtic have hung out to dry a 12 year old I’m glad somebody has been charged. That statement is magnificent! Well done Rangers 🔴🔵🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

The statement os a load of toothless shite, which obviously pleases Traynor in his vendetta with his contemporaries and the gullible who actually think it's good.

Good for changing nothing and giving our haters a good laugh.

Yep. Skipping around the issue IMO by point scoring.

It should have read something along these lines:

‘Following the recent police investigation and subsequent racism charge, Rangers FC demand a full and public apology from all media outlets and their employees who made light of the situation.

All those involved should be ashamed of themselves for trivialising and/or justifying racism: some even suggested the fault somehow lay at the feet of Alfredo Morelos.

Racism is wholly unacceptable, as were the actions of those tasked with presenting their ill informed views for money.

Had this sort of behaviour occurred in any other workplace their jobs would, at best, be at severe risk.’

Straight to the point.

No self congratulatory pats in the back about our Everyone Anyone campaign..

No reference to sectarianism as that just placed a target on our back for the next time an  ‘inappropriate’ song is sung.

A direct request for an apology rather than a  ‘your never know, you might want to say sorry’ type response.

So we just pretend they don't indulge in it then?

Of course it was. There was a reason behind the statement was entirely valid but that was lost in translation because of a journalist point scoring.

Trying to be too clever as the media response (or lack thereof) today will no doubt prove.

If you try to pin someone down with no room for manoeuvre:

1. Keep it simple, short and to the point.

2. Be direct.

Turns out you’re pretty good at both, although you could maybe quit with the insults.

Board are as weak as piss, along  with those  who still think they can't do any wrong and don't the haters just know it!

Aye let's get Jim to pen a few words. Sorted. The media have ignored it.

Just like the Hivs final. Our players get assaulted. Our fans get banned by the club. Sorted.

Nope, just don’t mention it.

Guaranteed that statement will come back to haunt us at some point.

We get hit with the sectarian brush every bloody day and they cunts get to play the moral high ground when they are far worse. It doesn't matter what Rangers say or do the bigots in this country fucking hate us and don't need any excuses to have a go, so l think highlighting it is spot on.
