That's typical of Glasgow police, as usual their heavy handedness caused this issue, but they revert to type and blame others.

The copper that had a hold of the player and wasn’t letting him back on last night was going for his cuffs 😂😂 before someone told him he was about to commit career suicide

Can you imagine the scenes if they had arrested him right there

Good to know that Police Scotland  have their priorities right though

Yeah, especially the policeman who happily handed his hat over to Lustig, which could have sparked trouble, and is a big no/no for police officers, another first for the club like no other.

They are way below the quality and standard of the Glasgow police before I left Glasgow in 1970.

They really have charged him ? I thought folk were joking.

Fuxache, that is embarrassing.

I've had a look on the FC Copenhagen forum, Danish people are usually amongst the most laid back and easy going in Europe, and quite good fun. They are suggesting that the police were up and running in for trouble, as quickly as the Danes started celebrating.

"Yes, and while it is very easy to understand why the FCK players are up and running, it seems significantly more problematic if the Scottish officers are up and running in a completely harmless situation."

Basically suggesting that they were determined on a confrontation, even though there was no malice.

They are also suggesting that the two South American Copenhagen players involved will have no idea why they were being grabbed and obstructed just for celebrating. What is it with the tims and South American footballer's ? Clearly a club like no other.

This picture sums it up for me. All the incident could have led to was Danish players celebrating with fans in a joyful mood, then the ref would have ensured they returned to the park.

Instead we have a group of obviously already annoyed police en masse intimidating a few Danish players who are ecstatic with joy  and in a happy frame of mind.

That is what really could have provoked trouble in the fan section, fortunately most Danes are a sensible bunch.

Unlike the Scottish police who seemed to think they were battling hordes from Eastern Europe or something.

And I think the officer in charge needs to be explaining the over reaction which caused this trouble, with the possibility of more reaction from fans.

Charging the footballers is just about the ultimate in deflection from inapropriate and heavy handed prejudiced police actions.

Police Scotland somehow made it look like a riot scene.

Just watched that incident there, honestly why are they cops getting involved in the teams celebrating? Never happens at any other ground, that plod was out of order, he should get chastised at least. Are police Scotland working for the athletic wing now? A disgrace. Police Scotland are now nothing other than a neutered organisation at sturgeons beck and call. It’s embarrassing. Used to be probably the most envied force at one time.

That's the way it should be done, all concentration on the crowd and also noticable there are far fewer police and stewards.

The police and stewards are there to watch the crowd and maintain crowd control. not confront players.

Was very noticable too last night that the crowd of police who piled in to the players from the side last night were mostly watching the game, not the crowd, and getting paid for it out of the public purse.

Jobs for the bhoys ?

FC Copenhagen have options on where to appeal and get some justice.

1) Directly with Police Scotland.     That would not be a sensible option as the legislation in Denmark would have difficulties in pursuing it.

2) Danish Police.       Should be easy to raise charges, but would be inefficient and probably a waste of resource of Danish Poloce.

3) UEFA: Definately the right way to go.   Will be interesting to see how how UEFA would treat the club like no other in a case like this, where players have been intimidated and targeted.

Looks like Copenhagen won't take it laying down.

Players speaking out. Why is the copper grabbing the scorer from behind and spinning him round.

"After scoring his side's crucial second goal, Biel raced over to the away end to celebrate with ecstatic Copenhagen fans.

TV footage showed a policeman grabbing the Spanish midfielder from behind and spinning him round as he tried to calm him down.

But as the pair became embroiled in a row, the copper was sent flying after Santos sprinted over to celebrate with his team-mate.

The camera then cut away just as the officer was standing back up to show Copenhagen boss Stale Solbakken celebrating with his staff.

As the TV footage returned to Santos and Biel however, the Uruguayan could be seen being grabbed by the policeman who fell.

Another officer then appeared to try and assist him as Santos put his arms around Biel and tried to walk away.

The striker could then be seen turning round to the policeman and was seen wagging his finger at him.

It's understood a Copenhagen security guard was lifted in the aftermath of the flashpoint and detained inside the stadium before being released.

It comes after Copenhagen players slammed Scottish police for their heavy-handed approach following Biel's match-winning goal.

After scoring his side's crucial second goal, Biel raced over to the away end to celebrate with ecstatic Copenhagen fans.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm two males aged 42 and 26 were charged in connection with an assault and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal."

Captain Zeca said: "The police should not tackle a player. People have to understand that it's football - it's an emotional game.

"Of course you shouldn't jump into the stands, but we wanted to be close to our own supporters and celebrate with them."

Zeca's team-mate Rasmus Falk added: "I think there needs to be a greater understanding.

"We just wanted to rejoice with those who were with us.

"We were in the process of creating a huge result, so you have to have a sense of the situation for those emotions to be displayed.

"Our fans were extremely happy, we were extremely happy. Let's celebrate it. It was a good situation.

"We were displaying joy and we didn't stay in that area for long. You must be allowed to celebrate."

Meanwhile the force confirmed that eight arrests were made during Copenhagen's 3-1 victory at Parkhead.

A spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that eight arrests were made at the Europa League fixture between celtic and Copenhagen on Thursday, 27 February, 2020.

"This included six home and two away supporters for minor disorder offences."

An absolute disgrace.  Why are there so many stewards & police trying to prevent players celebrating with their own supporters  ? Just like on the 29th December they were determined not to let our players near our own supporters.  I've only seen this kind of over zealous behaviour at their ground.

Just why do the Scum need stewards 5 deep and 2 line of police in front of the away support at that shithole.
When are the rest of Scottish Football going to start speaking up about these cunts, not the first time we have seen players being manhandled by stewards in front of the away section.
