A split in the squad

For me this comes down to mentality. This group of players don't have it. Crumbling under the expectations of winning trophies.

We absolutely dominated the league cup final and only lost because the officials allowed an offside goal to stand.  That trophy should be ours, everyone knows it, the players and manager did nothing wrong.

Not true. We lost cos we couldn’t put the ball in the net. So yeah there is a mentality issue. We froze in a sense that we couldn’t do the job when we really should have.

If their goal was disallowed we would have lost on penalties after a 0-0.

The players never scored, therefore never done nothing wrong.

We had 30 mins against 10 men,  a penalty and enough chances to bury them decisively.

The goal shouldn't have counted I fully agree. But we can't overlook everything else from that game.

It is true.  We dominated the game and only lost to a goal that should never have stood.  The players did everything that day and the tactics were spot on.  Morelos is the only one that can be criticised due to poor finishing but the rest were brilliant.  Tavernier was the best player in the pitch getting up and down the right all day.

Everyone on here agreed Rangers had been robbed of the trophy due to poor officiating.  Now, people are saying we bottled it?  Not buying that.

If celtic’s goal didn’t stand, which is shouldn’t have, there would’ve been an additional 30mins in which we had the numerical advantage.  The trophy could’ve quite easily been ours.

We dominated that match.  No sign of bottling it.  Although Morelos seems to lose all ability to finish when playing against celtic I’d agree with that.

Yes we bossed the game and if their goal is chopped off we might have gone on to win. It's all if and buts mate.

Take the celtic game out of the equation for now.  Look at the other cup exits and the 2 league collapses both post winter break.

That clearly shows mentality issues in this squad. If that wasn't enough look at the comments from players. Our captain admitting the sqaud can't cope with players in their faces and our biggest summer signing admitting they prefer Europe as it's less pressure. That and performances scream weak mentality. A couple of big wins against celtic isn't changing that.

We are winning nothing if we don't have players who can cope with the demands and pressures.
