We need players with proven quality, or at least quality in the SPL. So getting players from the Liverpool reserves isn't going to cut it, Ojo and Kent both have talent but don't have the top flight experience to handle the pressure of playing for Rangers - Kent will still be an important player but can't be a player to rely on. It is difficult to find quality, but it is out there - Wilson needs to earn his money here. We also need a captain who leads with authority and can pull the team together when things are going wrong. Jack could be the answer, but he is injured alot. I think its prob best we bring in a new player as captain. The management team also need to be adaptable, in employing different tactics within games and different tactics / systems to exploit teams weaknesses. We're far too one-dimensional, with most of our assists coming from full backs or Alfie making the goals himself (certainly first half of the season). Beale needs to step up and show he's a good tactician and Gerrard needs to drop players who are out of form and his signings have to be bang on... It almost seems like it becomes harder each season to catch them, but it is doable. We need an almost flawless season, which at the minute seems impossible but things can quickly turned around. Sell Tav , Goldson, morellos , jones , stewart , kamara .. bring in 6 proper players in the ilk of Hately, butcher, Ferguson . People who'll get ugly when it matters .
