So playoffs dont happen? How is that fair, but it would be outrageous to not allow a team to be promoted if they were top of the league. Where in the rules does it state that the Euro spot goes to the league in the absence of a Scottish Cup winner? I thought the rules stated that on the occasions when then the winner of the cup qualified for europe through other means, the space went to the league? Happened with Leeds. The absolute need for sporting integrity in Scotland meant that we could not follow past precedent from other leagues. Sporting integrity must be maintained and you cannot gift a title to someone who has not won it. The same thing happens with out of contract players that happens now. They either sign a new deal or move on. The definition of Season. The Champion is the club with the most points at the end of the Season.
