Also, never mind the fact that celtic would have played more games than us.

What do you do with the playoffs?

Its okay for Dundee Utd to be promoted, but fuck the teams in the playoff?

Most likely there wont be time for playoffs to happen. Or if they do, they will have to be rushed through prior to any pre-season.

What happens with the 4th spot in Europe? Do hibs just get told tough shit, you were on route to getting that spot, but we have instead decided to give it to Aberdeen?

Playoffs would either not happen - or take place in pre-season.

4th Euro spot goes to the league in the absence of a Scottish Cup winner.

The Premiership

C14 The Clubs for the time being entitled in terms of these Rules to participate in the Premiership shall, disregarding any abandoned or postponed matches, play in 38 League Matches in any one Season

So ignoring postponed or abandoned games, the clubs shall play 38 games. That's the spfl rules and completion of that and that alone completes the season.

You cant just shorten a league to 30 games.

Fuck off with this pish.

I fucking wonder about you at times

You can if circumstances dictate. Chile done exactly that three months ago with FIFA and CONMEBOL were happy to let it stand.

The capitalised word all have a specific definition per the SPFL rules. Season gives the board the discretion to shorten if necessary.

So playoffs dont happen? How is that fair, but it would be outrageous to not allow a team to be promoted if they were top of the league.

Where in the rules does it state that the Euro spot goes to the league in the absence of a Scottish Cup winner? I thought the rules stated that on the occasions when then the winner of the cup qualified for europe through other means, the space went to the league? Maybe they did write it in the rules what happens if no-one won the cup, but I would be surprised.

Play offs preseason wouldn’t be fair either

what happens to players out of contract at the end of the season ,theoretically a club might not have enough players to field a team especially lower leagues

They could have allowed Rangers to stay in the division when we had our financial meltdown. Happened with Leeds.

The absolute need for sporting integrity in Scotland meant that we could not follow past precedent from other leagues.

Sporting integrity must be maintained and you cannot gift a title to someone who has not won it. I wouldnt be able to take my kids to a football game ever again if it was, the game would be morally bust.

They wouldn't be but its not exactly usual circumstances here.

The same thing happens with out of contract players that happens now. They either sign a new deal or move on. Id be more worried about clubs ability to pay their players with almost no income for the foreseeable future.

Right now its 38 games every club knows that. They can't then make it 30 because there is no chance of completing the season otherwise.

👍If  we were 1 game into the season and it happened we'd be saying by the dudes logic the likes of a Hamilton could be nominated champions if they had the best score from one match. Which is ridiculous.

So after how many games exactly  does it being ridiculous after one match to acceptable after 30? It doesnt.

Cant just chop a season to make it complete. Madness.

Leeds were handed a points penalty which automatically relegated them.

Well, you may need to find something else to do with the kids on a Saturday because it's what is likely to happen.

So which part of any capitalised word or otherwise counters that particular rule that Premiership clubs shall play 38 games?

We have played 29 games. That is just a fucking fact.

Can pretend we have played 30 if you like though.

Wont change the fact that we have only played 29 games.

Not disputing we've played 29. It doesn't take away from the 'fucking fact' that last weekend was the 30th round of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership.

Unless we were to win that game in hand and get some 15 points for it, it's kinda moot anyway.

That was when they went into admin.

They didnt go NewCo until the following season when their CVA failed. They were then allowed to continue.

I dont even have kids, but its the principle of the matter. 😂

The definition of Season. The Champion is the club with the most points at the end of the Season.

"Season means the period of the year commencing on the date of the first League  Match in a Season and ending on the date of the last League Match in the same  Season or otherwise as determined by the Board and which excludes the Close
Season;"

Oh yeah, my mistake. With another points penalty for failing to exit admin with a CVA.
