STEPPS BOY 73,796 Posted March 13, 2020 Share Posted March 13, 2020 The issue with Davis and virtually the rest of the midfield is that they try and try hard but they have little quality on the ball. in the first ten minutes tonight Arfield got robbed 3/4 times in a row then when taking a touch proceeded to kick ball 20 yards out park, Davis couldn’t find a pass and Kamara look scared when on ball. Now without making excuses for his lack of awareness he and doesn’t have much on to pass to the when we go forward. The players have it seems stopped making runs and look to have forgotten everything that got them into a good position domestically. 1-2 we could manage to pull through but with the players being signed from lower divisions and foreign leagues below ours then were getting what we deserve. Arfield is going the same way, and his dynamic style of play won't adapt so well to losing that half yard. I think Kamara will kick on a lot with a better player in there. They play a ball in behind and the player runs towards them, there’s no coherence between them. It’s as if they’re a bunch of strangers every game. Those chipped lobs to nowhere seem to have dried up last night but he was guilty of giving the ball away with first time passes when not looking a few times last night.
