Spfl want Points Per Game to decide leagues

No it won't as it would require the SFA to approve us leaving their association to join the FA. They won't be giving that approval in my lifetime or yours.

If the FA were keen on that, the SFA would shite it. Denying us permission to leave in order to join another would likely see legal action. It's a completely mental "rule" at odds with equality and fairness. There's no way the SFA have any sort of appetite (or the money) to get involved in a long-running legal battle with the biggest club in their country.

It's not really that mental a rule. Clubs have to play in the country they are based in is a pretty logical rule otherwise we'd have quickly been left behind as the big clubs formed their own closed-shop super league.

The FA aren't keen on it and tbh, I don't see any set of circumstances in which they would be. We'd only be of interest if celtic came too so they could market the Old Firm.

Except participation in the cups is mandatory for clubs in the SPFL. No cups = no league.

What nonsense. All that is required is for a team to forfeit a match.

Honestly at a point where I don’t care anymore. The filth had the league wrapped up before corona hit, and it was our fault. Over the games played they deserve it.

Cant actually be arsed restarting the league with them 13 points ahead anyway. Then getting it handed as a tainted title is going to happen. Fuck all our club or fans will do about it.

We fucked the league in January and the sideshow since the lockdown has been funny because they have been losing there shit over a league title and it has shown them up for what they are Ambulance chasing cretins who care more about there 10 in a row. Than the loss of human life or that the majority of the countries lives have been turned upside down.

So they can keep their tainted title, I would prefer my team to start winning them on the park.

The club only needs to have the courage to inform the SFA we will use the law of the land.

“no subject exists which jurisprudentially can be called sports law. As a sound bite headline,
shorthand description, it has no juridical foundation; for common law and equity create no concept of law exclusively relating to sport. Each area of law applicable to sport does not differ from how it is found in any other social or jurisprudential category”.

First article I seen when I fired up my browser was Sadio Mane "understanding" if Liverpool are denied title die to the circumstances, yet in Scotland, it's get the title on celtic by any means necessary 🤦‍♂️ That's obviously the priority in the world today...

It's a protectionist rule no longer valid in the modern world. If clubs grow to sufficient stature and scale and want to go play elsewhere then they should be allowed to do so instead of being held back.

I mean, this is entirely hypothetical, but there are literally 10+ clubs in the English leagues right now who are at high risk of administration (and even liquidation). Are you seriously telling me if Stevenage went bust and could potentially be replaced by us, they wouldn't be interested? They haven't been interested historically because this is an unprecedented situation. They have had no need to allow us in. However, if a number of clubs in their league disappear literally overnight, they are left with a big hole to fill and replacing that hole with non-league clubs who may not have the infrastructure, appetite or financial ability to play league football ahead of *actual* football clubs like us, would be crazy.

Rangers shouldn’t even entertain this vote. Re-iterate that for a team to win the league then rules stipulate that 38 games is a must and refuse to vote on that basis. Warn them that legal action will be taking if they don’t remove this proposal within a set timeframe or they go ahead with this vote.

Very poor attitude . Apathy creeping in to our lot as per

Not sure it is.

Cant argue the filth aren’t a better team. And we’re never turning round the deficit. Would rather start fresh post corona (which is likely to be well beyond the summer).

Fuck all ‘sporting integrity’ in it, but let’s not cut our nose off to spite our face.

Cue the calls to boycott away games which no one will listen to because "the team need our support at away matches" or some other such shite.

The only reason clubs will back this is because they're in dire need of instant prize money. If we want to strike any sort of meaningful blow then it's starving them of our own cash.

Or play our colts team and sell no tickets to home fans

There's lots of things we can do that will be incredibly detrimental to Scottish football. Of course, it will have an impact on us too, but a lesser one and we need to have the resolve and desire to take decisive action.

There is no debate, it is simple fact, there is no such jurisprudence as "sports law".

my thoughts on this:

1) they are pushing it to the clubs to vote on so if the vote passes there is no scrutiny on the SPFL board. shitebags. what is the point in having a board if member clubs just vote on everything?

2) the 75% vote has been chosen because they know they have the numbers to pass this through

3) there's probably absolutely nothing we can do it about it if it passes. we should be making clear, behind closed doors, if clubs vote to pass this through we will decline away tickets at every league game for X number of years and generally refuse to engage with anyone who votes in favour of this

I would also add that No Rangers Player will Ever be loaned out to any Scottish club who helped to vote this farce through.

If they are looking to filll that gap, they'll look at a closed-shop super league first. Theyd much rather get Barca and Real in than Rangers and celtic.

Hoping for a decision where greed and corruption were not involved was impossible.

Scottish football is run by fenians, the media are spoon fed by fenians and thus adore said fenians.

Game was up a long time ago because we sat back and let it happen.

No title was won this season no matter how hard the taig media try to spin it.

celtic clinging onto a global death pandemic to gain some false achievement.

Morally corrupt since 1888

THIS 100% 😞

No, they'd just split the big guns away again like 1992 and re-start English football history.

Come off it.

The Premiership will not be touched, it's the best it has ever been and nobody's backing a breakaway league with Swindon Town and Luton.

Why would there be a breakaway with Swindon and luton? The top PL clubs (City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool etc) would look to form a Euro Super League long before they looked to add us into the English pyramid and supplement what's already there. The death of smaller domestic clubs will only accelerate that and the Juve chief exec has been hinting at it again recently.

We bring little value. We're not going to add millions on to their TV deal or add huge new TV audiences. We arent a particularly attractive 'get' for the FA.

Why would the Premiership be impacted by clubs in League Two going bust?

If Barcelona and Real Madrid are joining The EPL then even better We'll just take 1 of the vacant spots in La Liga
