The only thing  is these Clubs need us more than we need them. And let's not forget how we were treated in 2012. They couldn't wait to shat on us , loving the struggles that we have had. Maybe the fact they've all just been fucked over may wake them up as to who the real enemy is.

I understand how the contempt on how we were treated in 2012 is causing problems .

We have just produced a damning report on the way Scottish football is run . We have to start asking ourselves why it hasn't got the support it deserves . Alienation and the  '  nobody likes us and we don't care '  is clearly not working , so  we need to look at ourselves as to why .

So what do we do now ? We either carry on alone getting nowhere , or we start building alliances .

Falkirk FC respond to news of the failure of league reconstruction talks

Falkirk FC Chairman Gary Deans said:

“Today’s announcement will not come as a huge surprise to Falkirk supporters who have, along with the rest of Scottish football, witnessed firsthand the utter shambles engulfing our game these last few weeks.

As you know I have been working with the SPFL Reconstruction Group over recent weeks and I received a call late this afternoon (8 May) informing me that six Premier League clubs had indicated they would not support any league reconstruction at the present time.

As a club we embarked upon this process with eyes wide open and tempered optimism, hoping that the SPFL and other clubs might see the bigger picture and act in the best interests of Scottish football. In fairness, some did see that bigger picture and approached talks in a constructive manner – but once again progress has been hampered by the short sightedness and self-preservation of a small cabal within Scotland’s top division.

You will share my anger at this latest injustice, the failed promises and the general mismanagement that has occurred at the top of Scottish football for many years

The handling of this entire situation has been farcical ranging from the decisions made by the SPFL board to those clubs who have, what could only be charitably described as, misled and deceived.  The principle of ‘do no harm’ to Scottish football during the pandemic was thrown out of the window a long time ago and the decision taken today will cause harm to many clubs – Falkirk included.

To add insult to injury to release a statement on a Friday evening adding to the stress of players, staff and the many people connected with football clubs is a sign of the blatant contempt that those in charge of our game hold for us all.

I have already embarked upon discussions with other clubs who share my anger and we will be considering the next steps to take over the weekend.  I will keep you informed as matters progress but for now the club has made it clear that we cannot support this unfair decision taken by six clubs and supported by those at the SPFL.  Change is required.

As a club we must do what we’ve always done, let our performances on the pitch do the talking, and with your support press on through the leagues and take our place in the top division where we can continue to lobby for the necessary change required in Scottish football.”

Hope we weren't one of them .

I feel for Falkirk.

My nephew stays in The Boag at the back of the Falkirk Stadium and goes to every home game.

Fantastic young man very proud of him.

Loves his team just like we do.

Used to take him to games when he was younger and his Mum couldnt make it.

I feel for them.

Yeah , I worked with a guy in Grangemouth that had a box at both Ibrox and Falkirk . Im onl catching up but I hope we weren't one of the six .

John Bennett has spoken out in the press and left nothing back about how incompetent the SPFL board are.

Robertson has been in the press, and on the radio, telling the world what's been going on. Factually and without any emotive language.

Douglas Park has been so vociferous about the negligence of the SPFL ,in private, that the well known Fenian Rod McKenzie had to issue 4 cease and desist letters to Park.

We might not win the battle at the EGM but I'll tell you one thing. The Rangers board have played this magnificently and the pressure they've put on the SPFL is remarkable.

I've not seen a Rangers board be so proactive and aggressive in many many years.

Long may it continue.

Fuck you @eejay the dj , this is the post of the day

Youre quite right PQ , how refreshing it is that we are fighting as a club . Yes , SR is the guy in the firing line but being ably backed by John Bennett and not forgetting  Douglas Park initiating the whole thing .

United we stand , fighting together . I've been critical of the board previously , but they've played a blinder here .

We should be lobbying clubs for a vote of no confidence in ND and MM..

That would do more damage than gaining votes for EGM.

I think this has been the aim all along . I don't think we ever thought we'd get the 75% .tbh .
