Football Next Season - Will there be any?

As the shitstorm within the SPFL rages on, along with this virus, will there even be any football next season?

Holyrood alluding that there will be no public gatherings until a vaccine is found and looking at 18 months time.

Does a new season start under closed doors? Will the players/players union agree to it with the risks involved as social distancing cannot be maintained in a contact sport.

Then there are the financial implications. How do clubs earn revenue IF we even get closed doors? TV money?  How are ST's disbursed and prices set?

I can see crowds returning in a limited capacity in the new year, but not much chance before that, so I cannot see so many surving with such a reduced income.

Many hard questions yet to be asked and answers given, because the whole future of the game as we know it is under threat due to this virus and I fear many will not survive.

If they keep the social distancing as part of long term recovery, you would need to leave min 4  seats between each person at Ibrox.

Including 4 in front of you and 4 behind?

You would need to bring in your own atmosphere.

I think the quarantine stuff will be off/on for a couple of years.  Can’t see things getting back to normal for quite some time.

This appears to be the view from a professor from the UCL Institute for Global Health, he said the UK could endure up to nine more waves after lockdown measures are relaxed.  Why start a season when it would most likely be regularly disrupted with lockdowns.

Scottish football is no longer with us.

It died in 2012.

English FA negotiated with HMRC finding an outcome that protected football teams that had used tax schemes which included EBTs the Scottish FA used it as a means to punish a football team. This collaboration for their football team hasn’t just started with the gifting of this league title, the others were gifted too.

You could be right, jealously and hatred might have just finished Scottish football.

Put it this way no football next season no football clubs.
So if you honestly think we won’t get a season, then we won’t have a club to support anymore.

A season of sorts but with reduced  support and spells where games are getting played in empty stadiums.

Then we will lose about 75% of the clubs in Scotland, if not more, and that would include us.
On the bright side it may spell the end of the SFA and who ever is left can apply to join the English FA.
