Sport generally has exemption due to the testing being done. Madrid players don't have to quarantine for two weeks before playing City in the CL.

And protests that suit their agenda don’t forget that.

Those rules will quickly change if scum players have to isolate for the old firm game

I was thinking exactly this,  what reason would be rolled out if/ when this happens, not only for our game but any game they’re involved in which results in them having to field an under strength team. I genuinely find it hard to believe reasons won’t be found to protect any threat to their title aspirations, regardless of any presidencies set with any other clubs....

I'm sure you'll feel the same next May if they pump Aberdeen reserves 6-0 next week and win the league by a goal.

They are being given an unfair advantage and the fair way to balance the is a ban for a full set of fixtures

To be fair they could pump Aberdeen's first team 6-0. Even more unlikely Aberdeen's reserves could do the improbable and take points off them!

This mess is completely Aberdeen's own doing. To impose a two plus month lockdown and suspend players for 11 games because they broke Covid protocol is ridiculous.

Game off

The right call. I can't see how this season can be played to a conclusion. SPFL to table a motion to abandon the season now and award celtic a historic 10 in a row on goal difference.

Fair play to them and well done celtic. A great performance against Accies and a well deserved title. Worthy champs.

I say again, the only way I feel the integrity of the season can remain during these crazy times is to play less games against each other this season.

This just needs to happen a couple of times to the same team, and we're one game into the season...

Otherwise you know what will happen - season ended early at the pleasure of one club

Football players must be allowed a social life. Looking at the picture it’s not as if they have fans surrounding them. What’s the difference between these guys sitting together in a pub or at football training going through tactics etc. At the time going to the pub was allowed and Aberdeen was in no danger, no one can account for a French guy having being refused on a helicopter due to not having his COVID 19 tests results done in time going on a pub crawl whilst unknowingly being inflicted with the virus.  I’d hope our players have a way to socialise together after a game, safely of-course.

I'm seriously starting to worry about the risk to the season now.

If the Scot Gov pulls the plug and we cant play our next EL game in a few weeks, UEFA are viewing it as a walkover.

Clubs need to get their fucking act together.

Have you read that the Government have accused Aberdeen of putting football at risk and the footballing authorities have been ‘summoned’ to Holyrood?

Doesn’t make for good reading.

Calling it off is definitely the right call, but it needs to be each of their games impacted by the squad cull that's called off - not just one.

We're only on the second set of matches and the SPFL already owe SKY more money - this was a live game :D

Is that cos the game was in aberdeen and its in lockdown? If thats the case then no games in aberdeen till further notice surely.

Game was in Perth and apparently they can’t be sure players who would be playing tomorrow will be Covid free.

Aberdeen will be out of lock down next week once the SQA exam scandal has died down, it was locked down as a political diversion

I could be wrong but I think part of the agreement allowing football to get the go ahead was that players would not be going to pubs.
