Forfeit game! Points deduction.

Recommended Posts

Bolingoli was ineligible.

2 European precedents where celtic themselves complaint on minor technical infringements.

Precedent when registered players play if ineligible eg suspended.

Precedent of UEFA banning clubs for behaviour of supporters never mind players.

The club or copoeately responsible for their players behaviour.

This as far as I am aware is the first time time in world football where a player has broken a law and been fined and put his teammates and others at risk of serious illness and put the future of the sport at risk in our country.

Annnnd he played.

If this does not  merit points deduction then frankly nothing does.   It’s only a point.  It’s not even about that point.  It’s about the seriousness and the principle.

Zero chance of this happening.

Imagine if this was one of ours that had done this, 100% chance that there would be half a dozen of the bheast associated media dicks on TV/Social Media demanding punishment for the club, putting so much pressure on Government/SFA that our punishment would outweigh whatever will be coming their way.

I'm not overly bothered about their punishment. No point. Lets just beat these cunts on the field.

 He's right though.

If this year has shown us anything it's that there is a clear agenda against Rangers within Scotland.

If this was our player we would be getting absolutely slaughtered for it from all angles

And this is exactly why we should be asking for points deductions and other punishments. We would not be allowed to get away with this even if we knew about it or not!

I'm a bit wary of making them forfeit the St Mirren game as there's no guarantee one of our players doesn't fuck up at some point. The Killie game though should be changed to a 3-0 defeat for them due to the fielding of an ineligible player.

None of their players were ineligible. Not having a Covid test/being in isolation doesnt remove a players registration

He’s ineligible because he has to quarantine.  That’s the law.  That trumps. SPFL rules.

That doesnt make him ineligible.

There are two criteria.

1 - The player is registered with the SFA and his club holds a registration certificate (and an international transfer certificate if required)

2. The player isn't carrying a disciplinary suspension imposed by the SFA, UEFA or FIFA.

Neil Lennon is absolutely livid, appalled and they have been seriously let down so that’s the end of it. SPFL/SFA will be congratulating celtic on their corona virus procedures stating that it’s the best in the world.

That it done, no point discussing it more, our board represents us and they are what they are.

And that’s why he was given a fixed penalty notice yesterday by the cops.

celtic as a club, alongside Aberdeen, will be subject to disciplinary action bu the SPFL which will be a small fine or warning.

Doesn’t make him ineligible though.

He wasnt ineligible.

He was registered to play with the SFA and wasn't carrying a suspension.

1. The law of the land says he must quarantine

2. Scottish government agreement with spfl clearly states additional requirements of footballlers over and above the rest of us re their bubble.

3,  He was  ineligible  to play because he concealed his whereabouts.

4. Your standpoint means that Aberdeen cud have played their next game and just fielded the 8 players.

5. celtic wouldn’t even contest it.

6. Never has one player so blatantly put the future of our game at risk so blatantly.  All other European countries have played football without incidences such as this. SPFL  need to own this as do celtic or Nicola will in longer term.

It seems like a no brainer

He should not have ben in Spain. Gavin done that he should not be out his house.  If he can’t leave his house then he can’t play football.

That makes him ineligible!

But he did have a test and he wasn’t in isolation, that’s the problem.

I agree he wasn’t ineligible against sfa rules but surely being required to self isolate renders him ineligible due to government regulations, maybe law?
