pessimistic_pete 2
Former Italy Under-21 goalkeeper Angelo Pagotto has been handed an eight-year ban from football. The suspension comes after he tested positive for cocaine, for a second time in his career. Pagotto's latest failure came after Crotone's match with Spezia in April. The Italian Football Federation considered a life-time ban, but instead opted for eight years - which effectively ends Pagotto's playing career as he is currently 33. The ban ends a 13-year playing career which saw Pagotto enjoy spells with Pistoiese, Sampdoria, Milan, Empoli, Perugia, Triestina, Arezzo, Torino, Grosseto and finally Crotone. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11854_2730706,00.html

demisdado 0
The authorities need to take a stand on all illegal drugs..tho that length of ban for a 33 year old is a bit excessive!!

Dan Deacon 55,127
Why should you get banned for doing a non-enhancing drug? For bringing the game into disrepute? I dont see how it does bring the game into disrepute though, and as Jasper says if the facts arent made known, then we would be none the wiser.
