bluenose_72 198 Posted September 25, 2007 Share Posted September 25, 2007 i read in yesterdays paper that they have changed the system they used to determine the pots for world cup qualifiers and they are now going to be determined on a countries ranking! so 13 places for the world cup go to europe. theres going to be 9 groups. the team who finish 1st will qualify for the world cup and the 8 best 2nd placed teams will go into the play offs where obviously 4 will progress. since we are ranked 11th in europe we will be placed in pot 2! but we are close to romania and czech republic and if we do well in our last 3 games of the euro 08 qualifiers then we will see ourselves sneak into pot 1! :bouncy: the draw is on the 25th november 07 8 days after the italy game!
