A fair contingent of celtic fans have been in the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium for quite a while already. They're either very keen to sample the delights of the ground or they've got the kick-off time wrong. Kick-off here is 8.45pm local.

Tom Pietermaat has decorated his house green and white in support of celtic and will be at the game with his Anderlecht supporting dad.

celtic will be backed by an unlikely fan tonight ... Belgian midfielder Tom Pietermaat who has turned his entire house into a shrine to the Hoops.

The Scottish champions are desperate for a win in Brussels, but they will be backed by only 900 fans, despite 3,000 travelling.

One of them is former Belgium Under 21 star Pietermaat, who plays for Beerschot FC and has fallen in love with celtic.

celtic players in training ahead of the Anderlecht clash

"I fell in love with celtic after Anderlechtplayed them in 2003. My father attended the game and I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere.

"The club are so special, there is a warm, warm atmosphere in and around the stadium. The songs and the chants in the pubs and they get 60,000 for each game.

"I have around 10 Scottish friends staying at my house just now - I don't think many of them have tickets though.

"It will be difficult to control myself tonight when celtic score because I am sitting with my father who is an Anderlecht season ticket holder.

"Unfortunately, I think Anderlecht might win because celtic's away record in Europe is so bad.

"But we will definitely win in Glasgow."

Because sellick are a massive club

Are they not the Best fans in the whole wide wide world though..?????:mutley:

Yeah, and they're doing what such fans would do already in the match... singing about murderous terrorist organisations.

Heart warming stuff.

It was always a piece of nonsense but that possession stats survey that hailed celtic as the best passing team in Europe is being put into brutal context here in Brussels. Brendan Rodgers' team have been slapstick with the ball. Olivier Ntcham has given it away constantly. So has Patrick Roberts. Other guilty men as well. This has been a desperate for half hour for the visitors, the only saving grace is that Anderlecht haven't done much themselves.

Tom English absolutely breaking his heart on BBC lol
