Another 'sore one' for 'Well

FT: Motherwell 1-1 celtic

James McFadden

Former Motherwell forward on BBC Radio Scotland

"Motherwell have every right to be aggrieved. Trevor Carson was outstanding, they defended excellently, celtic were limited to very little chances.

"For that then to be a penalty is really hard for them.

"They're thinking thery're going to avenge the loss - they won't get a medal, but they're going to stop the celtic winning run.

"For it not even to be through good play or being cut open, it'll be a sore one for them to take.

"You do want to ask the referee, once you've stopped shouting at him, can you just tell me why you've given the penalty? He'll just tell you it was a penalty, and tell you to go away."

'Terrible decision'

FT: Motherwell 1-1 celtic

Billy Dodds

BBC Scotland summariser

"Rose should exaggerate, kid on that he's going in for the tackle, then step off a quarter-yard. As soon as he goes leg-to-leg, you're giving him an opportunity.

"It's never a penalty, but as soon as there's that brush, leg-to-leg, McGregor goes over, Willie Collum's arm goes up - terrible decision."

'Was it a penalty? No chance'

FT: Motherwell 1-1 celtic

Willie Miller

Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

"Class act from Sinclair to step up and take it after the cup final and the abuse he was getting, and what a penalty.

"Was it a penalty? No chance. McGregor's going away from goal, there is a little bit of contact and he goes down.

"There's no way it's in a goalscoring position, it's straightforward body contact, there is no intent, no arm coming up that could con the referee.

"Body contact happens all the time, particularly in that time of the game - but if you want controversy, you've got the right referee, and he gave us it."

Apart from the fact it's not a penalty you can tell by his reaction he was trying to win a penalty. Celebrating towards the crowd as he gets up as if he had scored the chance he couldn't.

No doubt silence from that club until a decision goes against them.

Feel bad for the Motherwell players to be honest imagine working your arse off like that two games in 4 days and to get it stolen off them (granted 1-0 down on Sunday). Hopefully the club slams the referees for this.

The first decision that goes against them that causes a defeat will be labelled the biggest injustice in the history of the game and the .well the ref thought it was a penalty bullshit will be confined to history

The problem is Brenda is seen as some kind of holier than thou figure. He’s actively putting pressure on referees and they’re reaping the awards.

Bunch of cheating bastards

The cunt was on the back of a few papers the other day saying, "I'm surprised we don't get as many penalties as we should."

Seems his bullshit worked.

That really is the most shocking penalty decision. I'd wager that if the wee scum cunt had been sitting in the dugout he would still have been awarded it.

You're not far from the truth,as McGregor was off the park when he dived back on to get that penalty.
I have never seen anything close to this since I started going to football in the 50's.

What do people expect? The chosen one actively said when he first got the job he had a dossier on every single referee in the Scottish game. Decisions they’ve made, cards they’ve shown etc.

Since then it really had just been genuine cheating. People can’t deny that last night and Sunday is genuine cheating to help them preserve this run.

This obssession they have with being unbeaten could work in our favour if we manage to sort ourselves out.

More interested in holding on for draws now than risking losing. Theyve dropped plenty of points already.

was thinking this too.would be hilarious if the go over the hundred mark while we go on and do 2 in a row

Yeah cos you see all over twitter them celebrating however many games unbeaten they are rather than be disappointed they dropped 2 points.

Would rather win 4 games out of 5 and lose the other than win 2 and draw 3 and remain unbeaten. Yet the tarriers would prefer the latter these days.
