If we’re serious we need 6 pts pre Old Firm

There is no way D Mcshitebag is going to get a result against the scum the best we can hope for is a draw that way we take points off both providing we can beat Hearts

Hate to put a downer on it, but there's not a chance McInnes' bottle merchants are picking up a result against them this weekend.

Law of averages might say it's due sometime, though the same law would also indicate the sheep could do us too!

It's certainly a good chance for them to get a result given the taigs travel back from Russia just a couple of days before. McInnes' record in big games is honking though.

They will never have a better chance and McInnes will know that. celtic are off form and have been so for a couple of months. They've been trying to rediscover their touch since Hearts mauled them and have failed to do so. They'll be coming back from Russia in the early hours of Friday morning, will probably train Saturday morning then head straight to Aberdeen. If Aberdeen can't take advantage of all these factors plus be motivated by the fact that a win will put them six behind, they really should just give up.

True... kind of.

People mention the 9 point gap but the Taigs goal difference is better... so I get what you mean.

However, it could be clawed back after March game. If there is a 6/5/4/3 point difference, then the pressure will be on the players and manager for them. They will lose goals and maybe games. They will crumble under that (i.e if Killie and Hearts  are in top 6 then Lafferty, Naismith and Boyd will be all guns blazing... regardless of what our fans think of them).

Regards to your point for the goal difference, it is only 14 goals better off at the moment. Obviously we hope for a sheep win at the weekend and we do the job against Hearts which lowers this and then if we can beat them at Ibrox we claw back double against them. We need a lot to go our way but we are scoring goals.

Agreed, add the fact that Popcorn teeth has declared that Them are not only going to win the League, but also the Europa League, then it is safe to say that we are all doomed.

imagine we won it with an offside goal or a soft pen

Yes fuckin please mate.

Or a last minute goal away to hivs in final game that didn't cross the line :mutley:

Cataclysmic meltdown if this happens, much foaming and frothing at the mouth from the dark side

Or one of those ones where the ref inexplicably awards a free kick against the player that's just been fouled, then Tav sticks it in the postage stamp.

Ideal scenario, Zenit win 1-0, tie goes to extra time and penalties and they get beat. They'll have to fly back late that night dejected, come Sunday legs will be heavy and Aberdeen hopefully are up for it.
