Police are appealing for dash cam footage following a crash involving two Celticplayers in Cumbernauld.

Olivier Ntcham and Odsonne Edouard are reported to have been involved in the collision with a silver Volvo on Mollins Road in Cumbernauld around 2.20pm on Wednesday.

The 54-year-old driver was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital following the incident.

Police confirmed that a 22-year-old man, thought to be Olivier Ntcham, has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a road traffic offence.

Police Constable, Stuart Newall, Cumbernauld Police Office, said: “We are appealing for anyone who in the area who may have dash cam footage that can help us in our enquiries. Did you witness the collision, or were you driving along that road prior to the collision? You may have information that can help us.

“Anyone with information should contact Cumbernauld Police Office via 101, quoting incident number 2022 of Wednesday 11 July 2018.”

As previously reported by the Evening Times, emergency services raced to the scene.

One eyewitness said both cars had careered off the road and into a bush at the at the junction with Orchardton Road.

Odouard's on a suspended jail sentence in France isn't he?

Ooooooooft, the taig brigade won't like that, big blue range rover, he will be getting harrased the now to change colour, stay two minutes from where it happened, do they stay out Cumbernauld way, or were they just racing about, lot of that goes on up round they roads.
