Lafferty = Big Dunc

There are plenty similarities, lets hope big Kyle lasts a bit longer than Ferguson, even then Smith stuck Dunc on the wing, Hateley and McCoist were joined at the hip then and he could not split them, and a winger he was not.

According to Coyle and Worthington he is pretty pish in the air for a big lad. He doesn't strike me as the type of guy who will be bullying the likes of Wilkie and Berra the way big Dunc would have.

In fairness, it was always going to be difficult to split that partnership up. I was disappointed in the way Ferguson was shipped out so quickly though, as I thought he did have huge potential. Hadn't realised at that point that he was horribly injury prone and an idiot, of course.

Don't think he has the aggresive streak that Dunc had.

you mean psycotic streak?

a psychotic streak..?

that conjures up a vision of fernando ricksen on pcp running around ibrox naked with a meat cleaver...

Wouldn't put that past Big Dunc, not even on pcp :D

Lafferty is more like Flo and Crouch, big players with good control.

never saw control from flo

let alone good control

so its a bit worrying that kyle is being compared to him

Flo had 29 goals from 53 games with the Gers.

That's a goal ratio any striker would be proud of.

Why are you so worried? :unsure:

Walter stuck Dunc on the wing?

I lived through the NIAR era but was still pretty young, Rangers under Walter gets more frightening and frightening by the day.

WTF? If he has half the ability of Flo, a player who did the business against the very best and at the very highest level, I for one wont be complaining.

If Lafferty is anything like Crouch I will be happy. Crouch is an excellent player.

I just hope he is played as a striker and not out wide.

You almost feel sorry for the scumbags who tried to burgle his house :lol:

:lol: There's a decision they'd no doubt like to take back!
