Jim Baxter - country mile etc... He's the only one Pele wished was a Brazilian :unionflag: Most definitely !! I can remember Ruud Gullit getting interviewed at Glasgow Airport on arrival for a Scotland v Holland match, when asked how he rated the Scottish players he said "I know only one Scottish player, Davie Cooper. He is a great player and could play in any team, including Hollands."

the goal machine 7,765
Cooper or Laudrup. You missed Albertz! I'd have him in there before De Boer. Oooo, controversial. Not at all. De Boer only really turned up for one season, whereas Big Jorg was in tears as he was accepted into the Gers Hall Of Fame. No comparison in my eyes! At their peaks, De Boer>Albertz IMO but Albertz showed a lot more consistency. His set pieces were brilliant as well. The Hammer shades it for me. I meant in the peak of their careers not just Rangers. I could disagree with you all day on this At their peaks, Albertz was double the player!
