  2. Getting Lennon on to discuss Celtics problems is the equivalent of asking Harold Shipman about Care of the Elderly.

  7. A brief look at some history with our opponents from Sweden. Our previous meetings with Malmö FF: 09/05/50 Friendly Malmö Idrottsplats 1-0 (W Findlay)* 26/07/72 Friendly (Old) Malmö Stadion 4-2 (J Greig, W Johnston, A MacDonald, A Conn) 16/07/74 Friendly (Old) Malmö Stadion 1-2 (A Scott) 17/07/01 Friendly (Old) Malmö Stadion 3-1 (TA Flo, C Caniggia, N McCann) 26/07/11 European Cup Ibrox Stadium 0-1 03/08/11 European Cup (New) Malmö Stadion 1-1 (N Jelavic) Credit to the Sharp File for being able to dig out these results. *I'm not entirely sure if this was purely against Malmö FF or whether it was a combination of players from both Malmö FF and IFK Malmö. Home away from home Rangers once used the old Malmö Stadion as a home ground in the 61/62 European Cup. We had been chosen to play against Vorwärts Berlin but as East Germans they were denied visas to enter the UK and we had to schedule our home game in non-aligned Sweden. Due to heavy fog the first game was abandoned and rescheduled for 10 am the next morning where we won 4-1. Credit to the Rangers Collectables Tumblr Page for the programme picture. Ex-Players As far as I can tell Jonatan Johansson (apologies to him for leaving him out initially!), Filip Helander, Jonas Thern and Robert Prytz are three players who have played for both clubs. Prytz played in the European Cup Final of 1979 for Malmö FF against Nottingham Forest. The Forest line up that day included ex-Rangers youth player Kenny Burns and future Rangers forward Trevor Francis, while Chris Woods was on the bench.

  9. He won't be thinking about them at all. His only focus will be Rangers and 56. I would imagine that he will only think of them the week before we play them. I agree that now is the time to build though, keep strengthening year on year and smash them for years to come. Winning the title this year will be huge.

  11. I’m really cautious about getting too far ahead of ourselves before the transfer window shuts but all the signs are there that Postecoglu is going to be a complete fucking disaster for them. He’s a couple interviews with the media away from storming out.

  12. Loving every minute of these bastards collapse spent the last decade thinking they were miles ahead of us and we were never a threat to their dominance the only time they played a blinder was actually getting Rodgers in only to make a rip roaring cunt of that in the end Hope they are enjoying their return to normality

  13. Hopefully the one on the left as he is statistically likely to make less saves than the other 2

  14. The only reason they got Rodgers in the first place was he was looking for a job at the time and he used them as a stepping stone to get another gig in the EPL. Now mind you he might have hung around a wee bit longer had they gave him the cash he was asking for to dominate as he looked across the City and knew damn well that if SG ever got the financial backing he needed then he had a challenger and a big determined challenger at that. Rodgers knew Gerrard , coached him , knew what he was like as a character and an individual , knew he was motivated to win and when he saw he wasn't going to get the finances to ward off SG said fuck it as he knew what was coming. Rodgers isn't an idiot. He's been in the game too long to let his guard down so when Leicester came calling he was off like a shot. The thing with Rodgers is he left them in a fairly good position but unless you are willing to maintain that position it'll always end up pear shaped and that's exactly what happened. The steady year on improvement SG made with Rangers , something i'm convinced Rodgers seen coming , coinciding with an over inflated ego that was/is their board in not having the foresight that Rodgers did in seeing SG's Rangers getting steadily better , the hiring of TLB in the shower , which is in and of itself the single most embarrassing Managerial appointment situation I have ever heard of , and the lack funds being made available to TLB due to , imo , a future court case that is going to cost them "Mullions" in compo has seen them fall so far into a state of disrepair that if Rangers play this right , and I seriously don't doubt they will , will see them drift further behind anywhere we ever were that I doubt we'll see a serious challenge from them for a while as the whole time they are trying to catch up we'll be getting further and further away from them. Christ it's good to be a Bear eh!! WATP

  23. Where on Earth is this idea coming from that he’s likeable? Guys a loose cannon and has openly stated that all Griffiths the Nonce has to do to get the fans back on side is score goals. Fuck him. I hope his stay in Glasgow is short and miserable.

  26. I am glad the 13/14 year old Rangers supporters now know the feelings thier Mums/Dads, Grans/Grand Dads told them about. They had to endure all the shite thrown at them at School by the child Orcs, now they can enjoy dishing it out. People should remind our own that normal service has been resumed and this is what a Rangers fan is about. I hope our young, lap this up.

  27. The 'Warchest' is still bulging at the seams apparently. A great many of THEM are still holding on to the hope that a massive spending spree is about to be unleashed and will see THEM win the league at a canter this season because we are still basically shit.

  28. We are capable of beating Zagreb, Salzburg, Slavia or Olympiakos but all are capable of beating us. Salzburg - lost their GK, one of their best CBs and their 3 BEST players. Tranisition period with half a new starting 11. The Slavia tie is becoming a bigger myth as time goes by. It was even right up until our second red. Free kick, McGregor howler, wonder strike is the 3 goals they scored against us. Goldson missed a free header in Prague and Kent nearly scored. Was very even and we were missing Tav, one of our best creative players.

  30. Amazing how sympathetic and caring Sutton is for Ange compared to his treatment of caxinha Hope last year and the possibly the next few year hurt as much as 2003 and 2005 Chris

  31. I would rather not get the racists. Not because I think we can’t beat them - simply because I think it would add a level of baggage to the tie we don’t want or need.
