I'm not being negative about Thursday. Proud of the team for getting that far and over 2 legs we lost out to a bad penalty call, a careless OG and a tight VAR call. Injuries are out of our control but the problem is the quality of players like Matondo, Dessers, Wright, etc coming in. Tav, Goldson and Lundstram don't look shattered to me. I thought Tav had his best game in ages on Thursday.
Sounds like you have possible issues with your eyesight

Have heard that defence of him before and I accept that certain players get injured more than others but we are talking about a succession of injuries, one after another, a run longer than many players’ careers.
I think about guys like Butcher, Brown, big Marvin playing through knock after knock, giving (literally) blood, sweat and tears for the jersey and playing through the pain barrier.
John Souttar has ruptured both Achilles, one of them twice but his attitude has always been about getting back on the pitch as soon as he can. The contrast between him and Roofe is stark.
Now I don’t know the minutiae of every Roofe injury, partly because there’s so fucking many and partly because I get angry thinking about guys like Jordan White, less talented than Roofe so plies his trade at Ross County. Jordan is a diehard Bluenose and would walk from Dingwall for the chances that Roofe has had.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that Roofe has been unable to do the job he’s well paid for (for only a third of the time) because of injury for over a decade.
A couple of big blows, like Souttar, can happen but we’re talking months on end for injuries far, far less serious than ruptured Achilles.
Be so glad to see the back of him.
How can you say his injuries were far far less serious than a ruptured Achilles when you don’t know what they all were?
Plus a lot of the reason he isn’t playing right now is because the manager actually seems to be trying to look after him, when others would maybe just have chucked him back in too soon and probably the reason why he gets injured again so quickly.

I can't see him risking McCausland with an international break coming up to fully recover.
McCausland will play if he’s fit, please go and watch the presser 😂

Can't see him risking Sterling for this one. Beat Dundee then a decent break.
I think he pretty much said in his presser that sterling wouldn’t be risked.

If anything they should be bothered that now our whole focus just turns to winning everything domestically, and our players will be well rested not playing sun/thurs

Agree with all of that.
Thought the big man got the subs wrong myself. The midfield 3 were absolutely gassed and you could see it in the first half.
He asked a lot of the players tonight with the tactics at the corners too. Like you say, they burned even more energy getting back to stop them scoring.
I won't get angry at the big man, or even blame him (or blame anybody for that matter).
Proud of the boys for another excellent European campaign.
Silver lining is now we’ll get decent rest in between league/Scottish cup games. Been looking absolutely done in at points the last few games

What a surprise the forum jester has turned up.
Certainly don't, he needs sold next season but we have him for the remainder of the season and he has scored against the dross in our league.
We have a treble to win and the main point from the beginning was folk crying and judging him against Benfica as if that has any relevance to how the league will pan out.
Just you keep chugging away pal

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You are simple as fuck.
Where did I say that????
I said folk losing it over getting beat off a good team is laughable, of course we have the fan base and capabilities to shock teams but doesn't mean we implode when when we get beat.
Don’t think many people have an issue with the result tonight, we do have a problem with this donkey upfront who you’ve developed some sort of hard on for

Wish you'd told us all not to bother turning up tonight. They were so much better than us, and a huger club. Thanks mate. The big Benfica fan, cheers Ross-Gazza penis heid.
