gsa got a reaction from BridgeIsBlue in Windass Meets Si Ferry
If Gerrard wanted him to be here, he'd be here, it's that simple.

At his absolute peak he was barely good enough. Horrific defender and dreadfully one paced. I think he's happy just to pick up his wage until his contract ends.

People are forgetting we don't have to beatt celtic in games against them to be top of the league. We need to consistently beat the 10 other diddy teams, the teams we absolutely dwarf in terms of support, wage bill, transfer fees, stadium size, commercial revenue, match day revenue, etc, etc.
There's actually little excuse for not consistently, or at least more consistently, beating them and picking up points. A semi-competent manager and some sensible transfers in and out, is all it would take. Sick of listening to excuses for Gerrard and the utterly average players he's signed or loaned. Hamilton, Livingstone, St Mirren, Dundee, Kilmarnock ,etc are barely better than amateur sides. With the money we've spent we should be picking up 3 points far more regularly than we are. Incompetence throughout the club, from boardroom to dugout to pitch is the reason we are not.

A player who does the rounds around diddy clubs as he forges a very forgettable career.
And you can add Lafferty to that list.

Falkirk where he was average to Huddersfield in League 1 and Championship where he was average, Burnley where he was decent for a season and then back to SPL to us. No Scotland call up so opted to play for Canada.
Shrewsbury where he played over one HUNDRED games, Cheltenham on loan, Brighton where he played less than FORTY times in 3 years, then up to SPL to play for us. No international recognition at any age group.
On what planet are they anything other than the careers of journeymen?
More delusion from our fans. Our results are up and down, mostly down lately, because we don't have very good players.
Fans wildly overrate very average players and then can't understand why they can't consistently get results.

Fair enough I was using it slightly differently but the consensus seems to be it relates more to clubs played for than anything else .
I'll replace journeyman with bang avergae players with unremarkable careers.

Fair enough. Maybe they're a few clubs short of official journeyman status but Coldsons age and weakness could see him make the cut by the time he's 35.

gsa got a reaction from Ivybank in Gerrard post Spartak reaction
Disagree. I don't particularly think the Europa League is a big stage.
No, BT sport obviously didn't affect crowd numbers in Moscow. My point was that an early kick off, on BT sports third channel would not be likely to attract many viewers, outside of our usual fan base.
People can build it up all they want, the reality is the only people interested last night were us. Eveidently even Spartak fans weren't bothered.
It wasn't a "big stage".

He's woeful. Brings nothing other than effort.

Another dense comment from the gutter press's most enthusiastic cheerleader.
A Protestant being made pope, is not possible. A holy war, while highly unlikely, is possible.

He's only played once, and he wasn't our worst player.

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.BOYCOTT THIS LINK/news/scottish-news/mystery-calls-between-david-goodwillies-10515048.amp
Lord Advocate Francis Mullholland, Paul O'Brian QC, Liam O'Donell solicitor, i believe these were the people involved but of course, I could be mistaken.
Goodwillie apparently sacked his agent and was then represented (in a football capacity) by Liam O'Donnell who also happened to be his solicitor. It was "alleged" that Goodwillie was given free legal services, in return for O'Donnell becoming his agent.
The Lord Advocate decided not to prosecute leaving Goodwillie free to sign for Blackburn, good news for his agent...
^
All speculation of course and I am merely repeating what I have read online.
I personally am not commenting on whether or not these claims are true. In fact, it all sounds slightly suspicious and if I was to hazard a guess, I'd say anyone holding the positions I mentioned above, would be way above taking part in anything untoward.

You're absolutely correct re the legal system. You only have to look at the Lord Advocate and the extremely shady David Goodwillie ruling...

gsa got a reaction from OhW in Gerrard and Channel 4
Channel 4 is pathetic. The Guardian of television news. They take themselves so seriously and are so self-righteous but their viewing figures are pathetic.
Jon Snow is an complete prick, I recall a particularly nauseating speech on Palestine. He genuinely thought people were desperate to hear what he, an attention seeking old queerhawke, had to say.
The guy who was supposed to interview Gerrard today is clearly one of those dungeons and dragons creeps.

She's not even classy enough to be called a chav.
Alexander was, by all accounts, a good MP in the sense of his representation of the people who elected him. That being said, his party was nearly, not quite but nearly, as bad as the SNP.
I've no sympathy for the Labour Party in Scotland, the party of Reid, Mcconell, etc.
The Conservative Party are a massive fuck up just now but they're the only party any normal person would vote for, it's really saying a lot.
