    You sound a good player. I was at the range last week before the US open and I was concentrating on making solid contact with my pitching wedge then moving up the irons. A full hit decent contact pitching wedge for me is around the 100 - 110 yards. Watched the US Open and those guys were hitting pitching wedges into 170 yard par 3's. Its a different ball game these days. The pros are more like honed athletes.. Hammering drives well over 330 yards when in the mood. Love watching it though.

    Got to hand it to dechambo. A marvellous round of golf on a course better suited to crazy golf. Wolfie bottled it but he's a definite major winner for the future.

    Dechambo picked up the pace again. Looking like a really guid final day the morra. Still think those below the wolf man and dechambo will think they have a squeak given the high scores. Just as I was posting the above I see dechambo bogeyed the last. Still very open though. The wolf man had a great round and is an exciting talent for the years ahead.

    Feel for Rory. One day maybe. thought he had a chance but playihg his way out out of it unfortunately. Carnage out there. I'd hate that wee prick Reed to win it.

    Love watching the Open when its at Turnberry. It was great seeing the legend Tom Watson nearly win back in 2009. St Andrews hosting next year. I had a decent sized bet come up last time it was St Andrews after my tip Zach Johnson won it back in 2015. I'm hoping either Russell Knox or Harry Higgs wins tonight as I backed them both before the off at big prices. Its a packed leaderboard though so its a bit of a lottery but you never know.
