The St Johnstone cup game should’ve told us what this team and management were really all about but due to (understandably) being euphoric about winning the League, we didn’t heed the warnings. The league was won, we’d rested players, etc and still, still, we couldn’t dispatch fucking St Johnstone when the pressure was on. The fact St Johnstone players stepped up at Ibrox and spanked penalties in while “Captain Fantastic” bottled it and clipped his down the middle of the goal, was a massive red flag and sadly indicative of Gerrard as a manger. Talks the talk, looks the part but when it comes to it, weak as piss. One trophy in nine, at Rangers. And that makes you a “God in Glasgow”.

Of course there is, I’ve been saying it all along but folk seem to take offence as if pointing out we had it easy last year means you weren’t pleased we’d won it.

Gerrard would rather resign than let go of Tav or Goldson. Both completely untouchable.

Protect them? He’s a manger who’s won one trophy, and only when our only rivals imploded and there was no pressure. He’s incapable of changing a game or turning its momentum, he picks favourites regardless of their form. He needs protecting more than the players, he’s a kid-on manager, looks the part, talks the talk but when it comes to it, he should stick to flogging angel revive.

Haha, fair enough. Plenty of folk seem to think this squad are brilliant and Gerrard’s a god but I’m not one of them. Loved being back to winning leagues but this is by no means a great Rangers team and we absolutely don’t have a great Rangers manager.

It’s not the number of fans that’s the issue, it’s playing under pressure. It didn’t happen in the league last season, admittedly because we were so consistent early on and opened a gap, but if we had been put under real pressure, I wouldn’t have backed us. Look at the cup game against St Johnstone, Tav’s penalty summed up the mentality in our team.
