  1. I didn't say that, but uber staunch points for you. You think he'll have done his job if we don't retain the title with the scum in major rebuild? Didn't think so.
  2. A big lad with the heart of a mouse and slow of thought. Has the occasional goal in him, but just a luxury that we don't need, but as long as the gaffer rates him, he must be good...!
  3. This season's defensive record isn't imaginary either. Not forgetting the many miraculous saves McGregor made to stop us dropping points last season. That might not happen again. New season, new slate. Can't be basking in past glories. We need to much improve to get back on track and for me, the usual suspects aren't doing it. Three losses against shite and they should be out, especially in what they are being replaced with are adding more value in energy, attitude and varied play.
  4. As dug shite as Hearts are (top of the table no less) those two paired up front would run our two CD's ragged. The two at the back for Hearts are no slouches. The Angie attack, attack ideology now kicking into play and as hard as it is to admit, the Jap fella is a player. They appear to have a new energy about them. Going to be down to our midfield to boss it to stop them getting through. We sit off them and we're in trouble. Over to the gaffer. We beat them, we burst their bubble.
  5. It's his buddies causing us the grief this season thus far. The scum in major rebuild and If he doesn't lead us to the title this season, it will be him out on his arse.
  6. Another defeat with the usual suspects back in, that will soon evaporate.
  7. He has ability, but he's not all that. He was shit when he arrived and he became more consistent. He's not the big intimidating braveheart defender. Peaked last season and now showing where his loyalty lies. Then their is Simpson! Where the fuck is Hellander and what's going on?
  8. Rather strange decision. Is he fucked, or is he a casualty of the dislike Gerrard seems to take for some players, whilst lesser players become favourites. An attribute many managers suffer from. We could say he knows best, but he has brought in many a dud to us also and predisposed to playing favourites. Katic was treated badly for some of his errors, whilst others could do no wrong, despite their catalogue of errors. Disappointing.
  9. Bassey on fire!!! I just find him and Patterson exciting to watch and along with Hagi, Wright, Roofe, add so much to our game. No ponderous shit with that crew. Their energy levels alone are adding to our game. Throw in their ability and what's not to like? We done our thing last season and it worked, whilst the scum imploded. However, resting on past glories won't win us anything as we've seen. the format always needs freshened if we are to move forward and improve. Most of the regular starters played a number of games way beyond the call as the Gaffer persisted in using pretty much the same starting line up. I think some just need a break both physically and mentally from it, as we have looked so stale. Just need to get them hungry again. Whilst the league remains the priority, we have to add to that, so we are lucky to have such worthy replacements for the heroes of last season.
  10. I'll be surprised if the gaffer doesn't have the usual favourites back in and we revert to the usual controlled ponderous shite, which at this time we haven't even been doing that well. He may start with Hagi, but if the usual suspects are back in, they will only stifle him, as the movement will be shite and back to the 5 yard side pass to the closest player as the oppo stand yawning in their ten man defence waiting on us coming forward. Or indeed, the gaffer learns the lesson.
  11. Thank fuck a vast reduction in the back passing and square passing last night. From the varied play, tempo and intensity far better and sustained it to the end, mainly due to the changes in personnel. Different mentality. Goldson for me still too slow at bringing it out, along with Aribo who still takes too many touches and slows the tempo. If he could get over this, he would be an even better player than he already is.
  12. He has the vision and the technical ability that no other in our team possesses. Last night he was key to our varied play and particularly giving us the cutting edge through the middle which we are devoid of when he doesn't play. Now a more commanding player, taking responsibility and dictating play. There is no equal in the team.
  13. Barisic has talent, but the truth of the matter is, he's a poor defender and of late, lost his spine going forward, not his fitness and that will take some time to get back. Bassey is a no brainer.
  14. A good watch tonight and many positives. Showed the hunger from beginning to end. Some great plays tonight. Bassey and Patterson starters from here on in without a shadow of a doubt. Fearless and so effective. Chuffed to fuck at Bassey getting MOTM. Well deserved. Likewise with Hagi and Roofe. Lundstrum not showed enough yet for me. Big questions on Goldson. Gives me the fear. Lots for the gaffer to digest.
