Not wishing to cause an affray but as a Blackpool fan delighted at us signing Charlie Adam, I reckon Rangers and Celtic are about English CCC level and the rest of the SPL are English L1 standard. My reason for saying this is in no way anti-scottish (I have many scottish friends) but more an observation of calibre. Basically I am sick of you lot slagging off CA as a crap player. If he performs well at CCC level he will be snapped up by a prem club within a year.

He's got it right. Charlie will be playing the role of the hot air balloon as transport. I just wish the fella would decide what he wants to do. South of the border we hear he's signing / he's not signing and now he's off to Germany??? Is WS feeding the lad mixed messages or something

It seems very likely he will sign tomorrow according to local gossip. As a Blackpool supporter I just don't get this thing about his weight. He seemed pretty well in trim to me last season. BTW he is already something of a legend down here even if the deal doesn't go through.

Aye, he was a really bright prospect when he broke into the 1st team, and he scored quite a few goals too. I don't think he was ever going to get his chance in central midfield, and he just doesn't have the pace to play wide. What position does he play at Blackpool? I'm sure we'd let him go for less than £1m, but not being too well informed as to Blackpools financial state I dunno if they can afford him. He is being played in the middle and basically controls the whole side.

Are you pissed. Local paper interviewed him and the implication was that he sees himself as Rangers through and through and this loan is just to keep him match fit. Anyone think he is worth more than 1 million?
