Anyone who can't see the differences between tonight's performance and the last 2 games against the Mhanks must be blind.Our backs were against the wall before the game even started. Playing without a recognised striker, due to Jelavic's injury and the loss of Weiss, Ness and Naismith, meant we were only going to get a result with good defending and scoring on the break, or through a set piece. Whittaker's red card sealed our fate and we had to bring on Wylde and Hutton, who were both not ready for this game and the poisonous atmospere created by TLB and the manky mob. I fully believe we will win the league now, the more important trophy in my view, as we now have fight and spirit.

I don't "miss Ferguson's leadership", I miss ANY kind of leadership!

I thought, like most people, that Ferguson needed to go, when he was transferred to Birmingham. Since he has gone, though, we have no leadership on the park. To play 65 minutes against a competent Aberdeen side and fail to score is not good enough. We had no one who could lead a fightback, no one who could galvinise our players into a team that really wanted to win and ultimately no real leader. This team is poor, but if it had a decent leader to focus the rest, it would be good enough to win the SPL this season. As it is, we will have to be handed the title on a plate to win it.

One of the best posts I have read on this subject for some time, well done. You are obviously a very tolerant person, but they would call you a bigot. Sums their position up pretty well, if you are not one of them, you are their enemy. They are indeed very sad human beings.

A very good post from D'Artagnan. As for the "modernists", they should also take note of Churchill's quote,"I may not agree with all you say, but I would die fighting for your right to express it". This is a matter of freedom of speech and we should all support that freedom, no matter what our own views are.

We just need one bad performance and we can drop points. Easy wins will only come if we maintain our current level of form. We need to focus on every SPL game if we are to win the title - last season should have been a warning!

Form is temporary, class is permanent. I have no doubt that our midfield would go up another level when an in form Ferguson returns. Can't wait to see him in the same team as Mendes.

The SPL makes Samaras look good. He was the same with Man City, in that he had 3 or 4 good games, then disappeared. He may look better for longer in our league, but he will lose consistency very shortly. Some of the goals he scores shows how bad Scottish defending can be.

Agree with most that's been said. JCD has deteriorated a great deal ion a short time, even from last season.

Let's face it and its been said many times on here before, there is no way WS is not going to play Miller, as long as he is fit.The Miller/Boyd combination was showing promise against Motherwell and should be persisted with. Novo, who I like a lot, was extremely poor against Thistle and I don't know why Walter did not replace him with Lafferty much sooner.
