  1. Leaving London to come up to Manchester on UEFA cup final day showed you our potential even in the South. Rangers tops everywhere round London that day and euston was a sea of blue Don’t know where they got them all though as there wasn’t one to be had in any JJB….phoning the shops some of the staff hadn’t even heard of the team…..
  2. Posted before i saw your post.......
  3. I think the chairman sorts these things out….
  4. Yeah the stats came out when we were making our own tops….I know it’s a few years back but i think our orange top was one of the top selling replica tops of all time…..
  5. Under the current deal though you still wouldn't be buying a top anywhere but online in the states.... If JJB haven't had the common sense to work out deals with foreign stockists that maybe partly explains why they are in so much trouble financially, seems ridiculous to me as their would be a demand for our tops all over the world
  6. i would expect we sell more tops than everyone apart form man utd on that list.....
  7. That would be down to JJB....for now......
  8. Yes but Umbro remain as an independent brand, if you know what I mean…..
  9. We sell a lot of Replica tops, well above most premiership teams
  10. I actually have a bit of faith in the club to get us a good deal. Over the years Sir David has negotiated a good deal for us merchandise wise. From being the club with the highest merchandising turnover in the UK when making our own strips to the deal with JJB that makes us more clear profit than we ever have before we have always done well in this field. Someone suggested Nike may be interested in having the old firm in there stable and I would be happy with that. I seriously doubt JJB will still be here come the end of March after the two traditionally slowest retail months on the calendar so I trust we are using our time wisely to plan for this.
  11. I think you may have picked him up wrongly mate......
  12. The Edu signing puzzles me greatly to be honest, we without doubt needed Mendes and Davis and you are correct there is no logic in Signing Edu only to have to turn round and sell your toip goalscoer in January to finance a move for a reserve player. Frankie i have said for the last two years that it's time for the chairman to move on, bain should have been moved on long ago for failing To do what I would see as his core activities time after time. As you point out though the chairman is going nowhere in the short term and they must make the best of what we have got. I realise he will have his hands full with the rest of his business empire and if that is the case he must leave the day to day running of the club with someone who is up to the job. I have seen nothing over the years to suggest that Martin Bain is that man. I cannot believe he doesn’t employ someone across the Murray group who would be able to do a better job
  13. As far as Ferguson goes it may suit both parties for fergie to get a longer contract. It guarantees him that he will see his career out at ibrox and no doubt get a testimonial and Rangers would be able to looking to decrease his wages
  14. Boyds goals are important, we need money, we can’t sell or move on the squad players we would like to so we need to part with a first team player .
  15. He was refering to first team players and squad players. It's obvious who he wants rid of but failing that then he will have to get rid of someone who people are actually bidding for If he hired a cheif exec. able to do his job and move these guys on then he would have far less worries. If we hadn't purchased any of the three midfielders we did we would have been fighting for 2nd place not the title
  16. it's as funny as a bart simpson tie on the office joker..... also it's clear what the chairman meant about selling players, if the guy couldn't grasp that he must be even dafter than i thought
  17. It's an awful article written by someone who thinks they are funny.... :unionflag:
  18. He would cause this sellck defence problems.
  19. Spot on....but it will take a larger wage than that. he will know he has to take a wage drop and he is desperate to stay in Glasgow, i reckon he will be looking for betweek 15-20k a week.....
  20. If we take the player at face value and that was Le Guens reply then it is ridiculous, and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me given his unprofessional attitude towards his job. Lovenkrands left as Shalke paid him 35k a week, that doesn't mean this converstion didn't take place though.
  21. 5 months to prepare for your new job paul, you are unemployed so do you plan to spend the time learniing everything you can about this new country, new league, new club and new players.......Meh......
  22. sums up this great coaches attitude to his job.....managing rangers....meh........
