Thanks for the explanation. I honestly couldnt have told you that was how to get away from a dalek though i was never a fan of the programme. As a 40+ year old man who has followed Rangers all my days as well as read online forums, blogs, commentary plus more, ive never ever heard a reference to daleks previously from anyone on either side of the divide.
It is therefore my opinion that its highly unlikely that some guy from England who has spent only 6 months in that same space as me would firstly have heard it, secondly know it was a reference to the disaster then thirdly, having known this, use it.

Many posters, myself included have moaned about the much maligned long ball. Against Berwick the players were told to play the long ball by the manager. It was an instruction. The tight pitch/condition and physical nature of the game was part of the reason for this decision.

Unless............
He changes his tactics, philosophy and team selection.
