I was personally happy to see McCoist willing to make some changes at half time. It was nothing earth shattering but less stubborn than Smith. I hope he keeps this up. I was also really happy to see McGregor is still in blistering form. He is an absolute joy to behold and I'm infinitely more confident with him as our no.1. I am worried though about stagnation in the team. I just hope CW and Ally get a few new faces in to promote real competition for places sooner rather than later. I'm not overly concerned by the result as Hearts are a much improved side and it was the opening day. No more slip ups for a month or two and we'll be back in business.
I met Broadfoot at a club and he had all the time in the world for me and my drunk mates. A very sound guy and he loves the club. I will say though that is he isn't good enough to be anything other than third choice RB and fourth choice CB. If he demands first team football it shouldn't be with us I'm afraid so maybe it's time for pastures new. In all honesty I think he'd do well elsewhere in the SPL and for a couple hundred thousand I'd let him go.
Seriously? I wouldn't grudge you 'as strong,' but stronger? No Bartley. No Weiss. No Miller. No Diouf. I'd say Wallace and Ortiz combined don't match that lot.
"Wallace suffered a cruciate ligament injury playing for Scotland, for whom he has five caps, against Liechtenstein in September and has played only seven times since returning to action in January." /interest
