  1. are we all boycotting away grounds to "no" vote clubs ? we've had to endure a lot, things beyond our control, but we certain as hell can hurt these clubs in the future by stopping their gravy train. If they think we'll come back up after a year and everything is back to normal and we'll be packing their stadiums and earning them £400,000 a year in royalties, we should hit them directly where it hurts !!!
  2. boycott every away ground in Scotland and boycott the national team, meaning the players refuse to play for Scotland and the fans dont show up.
  3. it would have been in no interest for HMRC to liquidate the club, they look to gain more in the long term keeping the club going with its extensive workforce and institutional benefits. The EBT money was money they were never owed either, this is really all a bonus to them, they were never expecting the money. Pennies in the pound would still have created a significant tax return. If they appointed an admin. team I truely believe it would have had better intentions for the club rather than the selfish reasons exhibited by a biased Duff & Phelps influenced by Craig Whyte of the intentions to liquidate and reclaim the assets under a newco.
  4. there's no time unfortunately, this should have been done after about 1 month of them failing their duties. In hindsight, we'd probably have Murray and Kennedy in charge or another viable consortium if HMRC won their appeal to appoint their own administration team. Again, Whyte's influences have put us in a terrible predicament. Duff and Phelps at the end of the day are being directed by Whyte, he's still the puppetmaster as far as I'm concerned.
  5. all you Whyte supporters are complete morons. I cant believe even with the factual information provided he's still getting supported after expose of being a total conman. He has no money to run a club like Rangers. The taxcase is a joke because he cant even pay £2.8m upfront he's supposed to have paid after buying the club, leaving it unpaid and accruing £1.9m in penalties, and its STILL UNPAID !!! If the taxman hasnt been pissed off already, they wont be happy with this either !!! He doesnt have the financial muscle to keep Rangers afloat, and administration was always the plan, even me, just a normal fan, saw that from the proposed talks from day one. His history is buying companies, dissovling them and moving to the next one whilst he's a secured creditor and loses no money. You's are all complete idiots if you think this man is right for the club. Support Ally, support the team, support the 150 jobs that will be culled cause Whyte cant pay them, support the 45,000 fans that pay excess of £500 a year to watch a team that is about to be ripped apart by an administrator. But DONT support the man that has partly caused this mess because he's conned his way into position.
  6. all I can say is if there's one man the fans should be listening to and trust just now, its Alistair Johnston. Far too many still have their head up their arse regarding Craig Whyte and I'm frustrated.
  7. Murray's the man that should be ridiculed, he's the culprit here. The board had to try and stabilise the ultimate mess he left them with, and they did a good job with the resources they had, its not up to them to invest, as Paul Murray quoted when hearing of Craig Whyte's interest, who in their right mind as a businessman would undertake a tax liablility and crippling debt ? Paul Murray quoting that from 25 years experience of buying and selling companies, these guys aren't daft, you aint going to invest money into that !!! Their jobs were to stabilise the club and make it operational, they werent going to risk their own money when insolvency is on the cards, thats just idiotic from a business perspective. This is why they can't understand Whyte's intentions, I can only assume all along if the tax liability goes against us, he'd put us into administration and be a secured creditor, meaning he loses nothing, the club starts again and someone else takes the club forward. It's evident now he doesnt have the financial muscle to clear any debt or tax issues, and the problem is, no one really knows what he's worth. I'll never forget Dave King's words along the lines of "he's the first billionaire I've never heard of, especially from Scotland !!"
  8. i dont think Johnston is attacking the club, i think he's ultimately concerned about how the club is being run and forsees from his experience a club like Rangers cannot be run like this and expect to compete with Celtic, who are in a much more stable financial position than we are. If the primary source of revenue is mortgaged, we have no income, therefore we have no money for players and cant pay the current pool of players wages. There isnt any european money without a pool of players talented enough to get us there. Qualification for these tournaments are harder every year. His concerns are ten fold, i quite agree with him, I'm worried. We're slipping more and more into domestic level as the weeks go on, todays performance was a testament to this. A guy like David Healy, has rarely kicked a ball since he signed for Rangers, was lucky to get an extension, now he's starting every week cause we've no one better. Rumours of signing Nacho Novo during the window, another player who couldnt get a start at Rangers, just shouts backward step/zero progression. Bad times.
  9. they need someone with experience that's tactically astute and doesnt just employ old friends to do jobs they dont have enough experience for in the first place.
  10. i dont trust him one bit, he came to the club with the direct idea of putting Rangers into administration to clear the debt and the BBC have rumbled him, and the Daily Record have taken it a step further. The purchase is even under investigation, the facts are there, but I admit the best of supporters dont want to accept the truth of the scenario we face and I dont blame them, but everyone needs to put pressure on this man to give answers and show results, especially the season ticket holders. We dont know how much debt we're in (possibly £42m, and question Alistair Johnstone all you will, he knows more than anybody what the predicament is), the tax liability is looming, we have no idea how much the man is even worth, it looks like he's used season ticket holders money over 4 years to fund his acquisition (so where is the revenue coming from ? that's the primary source). Everyone who's talking about buying the club for £1 , that's general business transaction, the transaction would have equated to 10's of millions of pounds due to the debt, and to clear it he's mortgaged it against season ticket money over the next 4 years with a credit company because he never had the financial muscle to fund it himself !!! Very dodgy, and its the type of brokering that killed Leeds Utd.
  11. from what I was told (possible rumour mill stuff) McKay is out of selection because he criticised Rangers training regime, saying in Australia they worked on technique, drills and tactical knowledge and whilst he's been in Scotland all they do is run around then play short games. McCoist obviously hasn't taken to that very well, but hey, I can quite believe that.
  12. Mr Whyte is quickly going to realise football is a totally different business than what he's used to. his main company may be experts at sorting out ailing businesses, but in football, if a club is failing it needs financial injection immediately, not cost cutting !!!! Its a whole different ball game !!!
  13. its a way of venting frustration and trying to get a voice heard that we're not happy, period. I don't think any rangers fan is happy, that's a moronic statement. Anyone who comes on here tonight and takes this on the chin and are ready for the big game on Sunday are bullshitters or realistically can't care much for the club, Rangers not QUALIFYING for ANY eurpoean competition is an absolute disaster. Its the same for Celtic, we're not the only club in a mess, but they actually had finances to deliver, we simply dont. We havent won a european game at Ibrox for long enough, its embarrassing.
  14. if Paul Murray and a consortium had proposed investing £20m directly into the squad immediately with the new manager, then Cuellar, Verhoek, Miller, Goodwillie, Juhasz would have been at the club, had a pre-season prepared for and we'd be in the Champions League, FACT. That type of quality is what was needed. The debt would have been sustainable whilst competing for CL money and winning the SPL, and Craig Whyte would still have been in the market to buy us over if he was still that interested. In my opinion, its still his fault for all those reasons. The players were brought in too late, no pre-season to gel or get familiar and a certain player was asked to play on 24 hours notice to joining the club in a crucial European match. that is desperation.
  15. its glaringly obvious he doesn't have the money, if you cant see that then wake up and look who we've let go and brought in, the quality is night and day. They've scraped at the bucket for signings. You're looking at panic buys, these guys were not targets, its all that was available in that price bracket. Whyte cannot fund a revolution, and Martin Bain, Alistair Johnston et al knew that from day one !
