  1. The quote should be simple and unambigious - how about 3 letters GTF.
  2. Michelle Platini wants all clubs to clean up their books and ensure that their salary/income ratio is set at realistic and sustainable levels. Due to Murray's incompetence and White's chicanery we have been forced to downsize and then build ourselves backup as we progress through the leagues. The upside of our enforced re-organisation of finances is that we will return to the top league in with a healthy balance sheet and a far more secure and sustainable wage structure. The rest of what is currently the SPL are still to go through this painful downsizing and accordingly when we return to the top league we will be in the position to pick up any of their players for a far smaller transfer fee and wage packet than is currently available to us. Basically we can screw them just as surely as they have screwed us over the last year or so. Karma is a wonderful thing. 3. My reply was contextual, I am quite aware of the role of a chief executive in the realms of corporate business. To a degree I feel the role of CEO of a football club is more of a political role akin to the role of a media officer in other businesses though I can see where you are coming from.
  4. In this context Chief executive is primarily just a figure head who is accountable to the board that is why I suggested Souness or Wilkins. We employ accountants and lawyers for more detailed discussions but the final decision for all matters shall always reside with the board.
  5. Please tell me your sense of humour or the innocence of youth makes you give the impression that you do not know who ham and egg is.
  6. Ham and egg has had plenty of opportunity to defend our club over the years and has patently failed to do so. Why do you think he would change his approach now? To be honest the man I would love to see in that role would be Graeme Souness or Ray wilkins.
  7. I take it that last line was sarcastic.
  8. i think the current financial situation would say otherwise mate This is most likely going to sound completely ignorant, but wasn't the whole financial situation triggered by Kaunas? Angry fans caused us to panic buy, (although oddly enough, all the panic buys worked out better than the majority of signings we made before Kaunas, with the exception of Bougherra), and we had no Champions League money, so the debt reached a pretty bad level. Am I right? (Not being sarcastic/patronising, I genuinely thought this was the case!) We were in the soapy long before that match. That exasperating result combined with the credit crunch just turned a bad situation into a horrendous one.
  9. You are obviously too young to remember Ian Redford.
  10. The problems with Goodwillie would be off the pitch as he appears to be a numpty of the first order.
  11. All depends on the style of football we are playing next year. If we are going to play fast flowing football we need to sign someone new. If we are going to play the same style as the past few seasons I believe Velicka will be every bit as good a poacher as Boyd. Sorry double-post not sure how you remove it
