  1. Oops, sorry lads, out of the loop for a few days and did not look before I posted. Glad to hear something is happening.
  2. There are so many stories out there you will be like me, puzzled and at the same time, questioning. We all should be, after letting Whyte cause havoc, no wonder! There are thousands of Rangers supporters who will want to give their financial help from the very little to the more substantial. However, what we require to do this is trust, trust that the money offered is not (as many charities have found to their cost)syphoned away from the main objective, and that no one profits apart from Rangers, this is vital and non negotiatable. I saw that there was a meeting at Ibrox yesterday, I do not know the outcome, but I was heartened to see Sandy Jardine there, as a representative from the club. From my point of view we need figureheads like Walter Smith and Ally McCoist, and we need, I am sure these two gents would want it too, financial proberty at the very heart. Give us that and the support will not be found wanting.
  3. He has used the £24 million to pay the £18 million paid to Lloyds. Anyone like to argue. Open your eyes, the guy is a charlatan.
  4. On the very day Fred Goodwin loses his knighthood, Craig Whyte loses his credibility. Don't let him fool you, don't believe the everybody is out to get me stories. Once again he is forced to issue a statement, not volunteered, forced again by events to deny something he was not going to tell us, the raising of capital on 4 future seasons ticket sales. He has raised £24 million pounds from the deal, to do what? Today he has sold Jelavic ( and our league hopes) for less than what was offered last season. Where is this money, Craig, our money? It's not been invested in the squad, so far its 7 player out and one in. How is the club going to be run in future seasons, now we have hawked the family silver? There are no players left now who can command a large transfer fee. Oh, and there is the tax case to come, that was the one you predicted we would win. I would'nt believe you if you told me that February follows January. Go now, Mr Whyte For the good of our club.
  5. I would like an explanation from Whyte regarding this statement. Not happy with it.
  6. Cole to Partick Thistle on loan Hutton to go on loan again Bendikson to Tromso Fleck possible loan to Blackpool Ortiz and McKay to leave????? Broadfoot possibly to Bristol City Plus long term injuries to Naismith, Whittaker and Lafferty Jelavic to leave in transfer window. McCoist has an almost impossible job with next to no funds, the rug has been pulled from under him. The downsizing by Rangers Football Club continues under Whyte.
  7. Hope its not police action, I have been waiting for a move against sites after the legislation.
  8. is it just me? Maybe I have been banned again, been trying from yesterday and get nothing???????????????
  9. Here is the piece http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/scottish/neil-lennon-gifted-bhoy-now-a-man-apart-at-celtic-16090996.html
  10. And thought he was all right. Just wondering as I read a piece in the Belfast Telegraph where they actually said'It would be an honour to manage Northern Ireland'. The article said he was well respected in the Northern Ireland dressing room, even though he later refused to play for them.. His personna is often the snarling Lennon we all see, never smiling, etc just wondering if anyone thinks we have got it wrong about him.
  11. Whether they are charged this time or not the words ' Celtic' and 'IRA' have been shown in news reports over the world. They have allowed a supporters group , Green Brigade a place at Celtic Park to promote the very same. They have a big problem on their hands. It is extremely damaging. They are in meltdown.
  12. The Rangers support has to be congratulated on how they have went about re-inventing themselves and helping the club. Add ons have been ditched, singing about the team is now the predominant theme sung, new Rangers songs being thought up and introduced. I have long thought that this was the way forward and would highlight the inconsistences in the treatmemt of the Celtic Songbook. The UEFA charges are proof. Karma Pat yourselves on the back.
  13. RANGERS Football Club will face fresh embarrassment in court today after failing to settle a £35,000 bill with one of Scotland’s top law firms. Counsel for Glasgow-based Levy & McRae are expected to apply for a decree in the Court of Session to award the firm all it is owed from the Ibrox club. It comes after Levy & McRae claimed Rangers had indicated they would pay the full sums being sued over yesterday, but failed to do so. No explanation was given, the firm said. Initial court proceedings had already taken place between Rangers and Levy & McRae over the unpaid legal bills which arose out of advice given on how to handle the Uefa investigation into sectarian singing at Europa League games against Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. Rangers were fined €40,000 (£35,652) by Uefa in March and its fans banned from the next away European game for sectarian singing at the match in Holland. The club also received a suspended ban on its fans for a second away game, for a probationary period of three years. It is understood that if the decree is granted Rangers will be given several days to pay, after which the debt will be handed to a messenger-at-arms who is authorised to enforce civil judgments. Solicitor advocate Peter Watson, of Levy & McRae, said yesterday: “We were advised yesterday [Wednesday] that solicitors for RFC had indicated that they would pay the full sums sued for, interest and expenses. This was to be paid by bank transfer during the course of today [Thursday] to Balfour and Manson, the solicitors representing this firm. “Payment has not been made and no explanation for this failure has been given to those representing us. We can do no more than bring all of this before the court at the earliest opportunity, which will be tomorrow. Those representing RFC can then no doubt explain to the court what they failed to explain to those representing this firm.” Former Rangers owner Sir David Murray has made it clear his successor, Craig Whyte, was “fully aware” of an outstanding tax liability of £2.8 million before the purchase in May. A preliminary hearing in the Levy & McRae case was heard at the Court of Session a week ago as Rangers had £2.8m seized after an arrest order was issued to the club’s bank over an unpaid tax bill. The order was delivered on Thursday following an application by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). The club’s bank put the money into a holding account. A Rangers spokesman said: “Agreement has been reached on this matter and it seems extraordinary and unnecessary that any form of action is being taken at this stage.”
  14. Another day, another negative story. Stories and leaks abound. Unhappy senior figures at Ibrox, rumours of administration, arrestments etc. It is obvious Whyte has no large personal fortune, Alistair Johnstone alerted this to us andhis words are ringing true. Today McCoist meets the press, he will have all sorts of questions thrown at him, hardly any football ones, the financial picture is the big story. Speak up Whyte, for god's sake.
