He's been banned from Ibrox for being pictured in a national newspaper wearing Rangers colours whilst being attacked by wild-eyed riot police with dogs. I've no problem if Rangers ban him for his past crimes, but thats not the case here. I imagine that the club, with their close connections to the police, have a far greater understanding of the situation involving said person than you do. If they believe there is reason to ban a person I support that.
