Did you vote for Middlesbrough as 'worst place to live' in 2007? Do you know anybody that did? It was a channel four tv show, and not to be taken seriously. Have a bit of common sense. Nobody - least of all from Middlesbrough - would attempt to argue that Boro are comparable in size to Rangers. That's not even up for debate so I'm not sure why anybody would still be talking about it. Maybe Boyd just wants more money? Maybe it's the challenge of playing in a team challenging for a place in the best league in the world? Maybe he's been seduced by the world class facilities available to players at Boro? Maybe he fancies the chairman (and, to be fair, who wouldn't)? Maybe he's seen something in Middlesbrough you don't get from lazy perspectives born of trash TV? Or maybe I should respond in kind and claim he's bored of deep fried mars bars for tea every night? Because that's what the TV tells me you eat up there. I would actually argue that La Liga is a much better league than the EPL- when was the last time a top EPL side bought a top player from a top La Liga side? If he's looking for world class facilities, then he'd do well to find a training ground superior to the £16m Murray Park, and a stadium better than Ibrox, rated 5 star by UEFA. Also, tell me what Boyd would see in Middlesbrough that he couldn't see in Scotland. I'm happy to be proven wrong. About 5 days ago when Man City bought Yaya Toure and David Silva. I still agree that La Liga is better.
