  1. No. That said I don't think he's really ever been that far away anyway!
  2. Can't choose between 86-87 & 92/93. Awesome years.
  3. Willie Miller, Dave Narey, john Wark, Gary McAllister. All linked with us at one time or another. Each would have been fantastic for us.
  4. People saying he didn't have funds to spend are wrong! He spent big fees (back then) on Redford, Paterson, Clark, McCoist, two of them were Scottish record fees I believe. He also bought the likes of Bett and Prytz amongst others. Whether he got the best out of them is another matter entirely.
  5. I'm sure we were linked with Les Ferdinand. Remember being really disappointed when we missed out on Vialli.
  6. Couldn't agree more with the OP. My brother refused to go back to Ibrox because of the Barry/PLG fall out, referring to BF as "The Number 6" maintaining he'd never go back till he was gone... That was until he got offered a Ticket for Manchester!! Needless to say he took it!! Needless to say he hasn't been at a Rangers game since! So I salute you sir, I have heard of many loyal bears who went to extraordinary lengths to get tickets for Manchester paying way over the odds. Enjoy tomorrow!
  7. He was hardly going to be able to do it on the official website!! Does it really matter if it's the bbc, the record whoever just so long as we know in advance of the AGM? Personally I think anything that comes from him will be through the Herald and Richard Wilson.
  8. Would you rather we are kept in the dark? Would you rather be treated like we were under Whyte? Whilst I'd rather he'd blog the info, we need to know. I'll never forget where I was when I heard we were being liquidated. I never ever want to go through any form of insolvency event again. If JT spills the beans, it's got to be for the good. It's critical now. We cannot afford to have our heads in the sand over this

  10. In the past dignified silence was the way - like Jock Wallace when he left in '78. Not now, we need and deserve to know what is going on. There is something far wrong at the club and we need to know before it's too late. I for one hope JT spills the beans. I'd like to think he'd do it via a blog rather than one of the mainstream media outlets. However being realistic it needs to be said and whatever the medium I want to hear it.
  11. As I said polar opposites. Again, at what point did PM order that investigation considering he isn't a board member? Your second point, without intending to be disrespectful, smacks of blinkers. As for your quoted paragraph, I firmly disagree that he is divisive. When Walter Smith says the board is disfunctional, then I sit up and listen.
  12. Sorry, we are at polar opposites here! At what point did PM have anything to do with the Green & Whyte investigation? The board NEEDING to hire media house? Clearly you are happy with the way things are with the current set up and that is your right. My opinion is somewhat different. Finally the court case, are we just to accept incorrect governance?
  13. Perhaps you could quantify the thousands he has cost the club? I'd like to know for my and indeed other fans benefit ahead of the AGM. This to me is not just about asking questions at an AGM, it's about boardroom change and following correct procedure to allow this. If you don't want this then that is your opinion. I, personally, think change is essential.
  14. I'm assuming by the tone of your post that you'd rather that the performance of the board is not scrutinised or challenged? I'd therefore assume that you are happy that PM had to go to the court of session because of the AGM notice and found that they (PM & his backers) were correct.
