His mistake against them in December cost Balogun his spot. He was my first choice before and after that game too. Goldson should have been dropped after Motherwell.

I was always hoping he’d stay but I’m of the opinion it’s better we move on from him. we need to rebuild back to front. Tav, Goldson, Barisic, Jack, Roofe, McLaughlin, Balogun and Lundstram would be a start.

I said at the time of signing Diomande that midfield was the least of our concerns. I stand by that albeit I think he will be a good player for us. We signed the wrong type of player in January and now we need to watch a bang average rival walk the league because of it. Totally unacceptable what we are watching h these past few weeks and questions need asked because it’s happening too often to be coincidence.

The point I’m making is…. We had to four months to find a solution to our goalscoring. That problem was never going to magically disappear nor were duds like Roofe and Dessers ever going to start scoring goals frequently.

Instead we went and bought a defensive midfielder. Let that sink in. We have serial losers captaining the team and businessmen who haven’t a fucking clue how to manage our club at boardroom level. The fact that lot are as shite as I have ever known them to be and we are STILL worse should be raising alarm bells. This is now the fourth time in 8 years we have seen this type of collapse.

September to January. We had FOUR MONTHS to find and address the issue of goalscoring. I’m lost for words at how shite that was tonight. A carbon copy of Sunday where, despite the usual shite….. we clearly ‘learned nothing’

This happened In 2018, 2019 and 2021. This cannot be a coincidence given there are only a few players who remain from those seasons. This kind of collapse wasn’t acceptable then and it’s still happening now. Enough.

We have a great chance of doing it this season but I certainly don’t remember it happening personally. Then again I don’t remember both OF being quite as bad as they are now 😅

I’m not blaming the decisions. Quite the contrary I was alluding to the point that all games this season have been very tight and huge decisions went against us. Under Gerrard we would beat them at least twice a season but we’d have been 5/6 points behind. We’ve taken one point from them and can go back top on Wednesday. I entirely see your point, don’t get me wrong…. I just think if we win the league then I wouldn’t care how many times we beat them.

I don’t think they are better than us and we’ll hopefully prove that by being top of the league on Wednesday night. All three OF’s this season have been tight and in all three we’ve been on the receiving end of some highly questionable decisions. small margins but I genuinely believe that they are more likely to drop points in the run in than we are, especially when all our injuries are returning. might be my opinion but I think we are better.

Once the dust settles I’ll be happy with the draw simply because of how shit we were today…. That was one massive goal Rabbi scored and to be 2-2 then 2-3 up and throw is away will be grating them because they aren’t anywhere near as good as we made them look at times. As confidence goes we have it. We win on Wednesday we go back top and our injured players are all returning so I’d hope they will kick on.

Only thing I can presume is wrights foot is in the box itself and the other junkie players’ feet are not. I could be looking into that way too much though. Pretty poor penalty though leading to it.

Frustrates at times but no question about it. Quality player and a modern day legend. penalty miss and peach of a goal all in the space of 5 mins defines him. It’ll cost us a lot of money to replace.
