  1. One of the best players in the game and I was at Hampden when he ran the full length of the park to score his goal against Celtic in the Drybrough Cup Final. My first ever Rangers top also was the number 2 in 1972. RIP Sandy.
  2. Ah so its no the strip its the baw.........
  3. The best player I ever seen play at Ibrox was Liam Brady when he played for Inter Milan. Although we beat them 3-1? on the night we lost on aggregate 4-3 I believe. He still stood head and shoulders above anyone else on the field, about the best I have seen a player play despite losing 3-1.
  4. One of the best ever to pull on a Rangers jersey. I also have no idea what Sandy said to piss off some people on here but the ones I found were quite interesting in my opinion. Please elaborate on this if you can. Ibrox really is a special place. It's incredible the bond fans have with parts of the ground. They can remember the day Baxter passed from here or there, and from where Gazza scored. I remember at training spotting little burnt areas. These were from people who had sneaked in at night and sprinkled the ashes of former fans on the pitch. - Sandy Jardine Everyone injured was to receive a visit from a player or an official and the club was to be represented at every funeral. If an injured fan had a favourite player and word got back to Ibrox, Mr Waddell would make sure that player made a personal visit. No one could say Rangers didn't respond to the tragedy. Willie Waddell was magnificent. - Sandy Jardine on the Ibrox Disaster of 1971.
  5. Thanks for the replies. I thought it may go to JJB but with such a great deal I will still pick them up. The boys will bethrilled. Today we found out we can help the club out directly another way.
  6. I just purchased some shirts from the Megastore, does anyone know if the money will be going back to the club or to JJB sports? I am planning to pick up full set for my sons football team here in Calgary and it would be nice if it does go back to Rangers. Great deal as well.
  7. Name it after Alfie Conn and get a domed roof on it. It then could be called the Conndome. The team would feel safe in there. taxi!!!!......
  8. He did look like he had a good sweat on him when he ran out...
  9. My only point wether you liked Boyd or not is Miller wasn't banging the goals in as much as he has done this season as he was playing a slightly different role because of Boyd. We have the quality for someone to take over that position if Miller leaves. I do believe we will get Goodwillie and maybe Miller is stalling until we do get him.
  10. we said the same thing when Boyd left and Miller stepped up to the plate, someone else will maybe even Goodwillie...
  11. It was sung very often at Ibrox in the eighties, and lets not forget what we sung after Johnny Doyle died. There is scum on both sides of the Old Firm.
