  1. Well I've been a lurker on these boards for the past many years and I figure now is as good as time as ever for it to be my first post... I live in the southern U.S. and I've been a Rangers fan for about nine years running. I have always been a fan of the game and thanks to the internet I was intrigued by the Scottish Premier League and since my "heritage" is Scottish, I started to look for a team to follow. I DEFINITELY knew Septic was not my team of choice and after reading about the rich history of Rangers, I started to watch/listen to their games on the web. From that point on I was hooked! I bought my first kit in Canada and when my folks vacationed in Scotland I told them to buy me anything Rangers. I'm not able to listen to them as much anymore (stupid Clyde Radio), but I try to see them on justintv (thanks RM for the links!). I read any kind of Rangers news daily and rely on RM for any other kind of info. What's really cool is when I wear my jersey to Scottish Festivals and elsewhere other bluenoses will come up and strike up a conversation--it truly is a brotherhood! I tell you that those of you who live in Britain don't know how lucky you are to be able to have the opportunity to see them as often as you do. I'm a sports fanatic when it comes to my teams here, but whenever I see highlights on YouTube, it seriously gives me chills to see the awesome support and passion that those in attendance have for the Gers. It is unlike anything we have here in the States. I get just as ecstatic after a Rangers victory (especially against the Scum) and down and depressed after a loss as I do for teams that I have followed for 30+ years. It is my goal one day to visit Scotland and see the world's most successful team and the true GFITW at Ibrox, but until then I'll keep following them by any means necessary and share in the joys and pains of my fellow bears.
