i understand people getting frustrated in the moment where he shows a lack of quality. But the constant criticism from our own fans is too much. especially since it is obvious that dessers is trying.
people were less critical of alfredo when he had downed tools in his last year.

Gets slated even when he has a decent game. Was pressing 3 or 4 of them on his own in that 1st half and in the 2nd he was good too
We all know he’s not the level we need (and I don’t think he was signed as 1st choice I think Danilo was) but the hatred people have for this guy is an absolute riddy

I think he got the better of Carter Vickers today, was stronger in the tussles, gave him hell.  Had a perfectly good goal chopped off too.

Gets slagged rightly and isnt the answer.
But thought he gave 100% today and gave us a decent shift.

I'd say I have a better grasp on the the laws of the game than most folk, without knowing all the nuances, but there are too many rules in football now where I am scratching my head on some technicality.
I do work beside a (recently) former professional referee who refereed up to Scottish Championship level, so I'll be asking the question tomorrow.

Think it depends if the pen taker scores or not.
If he doesn't and its only another attacker encroaching then it's no retake, it's an indirect free kick against. If players from both teams encroach then I'm sure it should be a retake.
The pic posted above suggests it should have been a retake as their player is more advanced than Wright.

Another honest performance from this clown.

Gave them absolutely everything. The same ref who blew the whistle within 0.5 seconds for Lundstram “handball” at Killie, but sent to the monitor for an elbow into the face.

The decision to give Hibs the ball back when Lawrence had it in their box was an absolute disgrace

What the fuck was that. Surely a team so poor of them would want someone back to get the inevitable clearance to restart the attack?
From defensive point of view its inexplicable.
Yilmaz needs taken off them his deliveries are appalling

Well written complimentary account of a young lad's journey to the top.
Especially for all us Rangers followers ... as he is now one of ours ... what a feeling it must have been for Dujon when the ball hit the back of the net last night and sent literally millions of us worldwide going delirious with delight ... echoing his joy at scoring such an important first ever professional goal.
Hope he has got a taste for it now and scores for us next week again ..... as two is always better than one ... 😛

I often get asked if I enjoy my work as a Football Agent.

Of course, there are times when it’s incredibly mentally and physically challenging. Much like a player, but in a hugely different context.

But there are times when it’s the best, and I mean the best job in the world. Just like last night:

Benfica v Rangers in Lisbon, last 16 of the Europa League 1st leg - which ended, against the odds, 2-2 with Benfica coming from behind twice (with two gifted goals from Rangers).

Dujon Sterling, who as many know, I have looked after for 9 years since 15 years old, scored his first senior goal in 137 attempts (I’ve probably watched most of those games!) What a goal, what a new memory. An many also know, in 2020, Dujon’s career was so nearly ended by a sudden illness, that kept him out the game for 10 months.

What struck me as it went in, standing on my own amongst 3,500 delirious Rangers fans, was what it meant to so many others.

To Dujon: it was his reward for the battle he won in 2020 and never giving in.

To his Mum: a moment that emotionally rewarded her for the countless hours since he joined Chelsea at 6 years old for her love and support every step (or run) he made.

To the coaches and staff of various clubs/ England (to many to name): a wonderful sense of joy for Dujon knowing his journey and the part they played at some point. My phone went crazy as he scored.

To everyone at Rangers (staff/teammates): it’s a team effort from start to finish and a measure of the hard work put in by all.

To those partners behind the scenes (the boot companies, the lawyers, accountants, concierge, insurance, mortgage advisors, barbers, car salesman (endless list!) who know Dujon.

To the media/ journalists: you know who you are and who have never doubted his ability and spoken about it.

To the fans past and present: an unreal bond through thick and thin. Rangers love him coz he gives 100%. He is an elite talent. The fan next to me last night was drunk with a thick Glaswegian accent. Couldn’t understand a single word for 90 mins but when Dujon scored he jumped on me, hit me in the stomach and kissed me 😂 another very special moment.

To Dujon’s close knit friends, in and out of the game: you never doubted.

To my wife, family, friends: thank you for understanding and being there. Countless messages as the goal went in.

To my other clients/ their families/ colleagues: again loads of messages/calls sharing the happiness of the goal.

Football is the biggest sport in the world. It forms part of the wheel of life for so many, for most of their lives. It’s a tough workplace for all involved.

But moments like last night, make it so, so satisfying….and enjoyable 😉

Have a good day everyone. And never stop believing ⚽️ 💙

P.S. in the 2nd leg next week Benfica will experience Ibrox at its firey best. Can’t wait. ✔️

so glad to read yer da saw us reach the top before he passed he'll have been absolutely buzzing inside pal.
Chin up mate I'm sure you can find an up and coming bluenose to take his place along side you at Ibrox and then in forty years time he/she will post a fitting tribute on RM to you for showing him the way of the Ranger no surrender sir and watp 🇬🇧

RIP My Dad, John Hamilton 1944-2024
Tomorrow, I will have to do the worst thing any child has to do: bury a parent. In this case, My Dad.. He passed away peacefully on the 17th February, just days after seeing in his 80th Birthday.
My family is heartbroken, I am heartbroken. My Dad is dead. The man who help raise me, the man who was the strong man I looked up to a child, the man who took me to my first football match and was my companion at games for the nest 40 years.
He was a fan since 1950. Grew up with Young, Shaw, Hubbard(who became a close friend which blew him away lol), Simpson and then THAT team of Baxter, Caldow, Shearer, McMillan (RIP), Brand, Miller, McKinnon, Wilson. To the modern greats. He saw them all. And loved Rangers as nuch at 80 as he did aged 6 back in 1950.
Together we saw some of the great days and nights of said last 40 years. From the Souness era and 9IAR to the run to the final in Seville. Which by then he was getting too old to attend a final abroad. He would have loved the irony of us going top that weekend he died. In his memory, I will be there on Thursday night and for the rest of the season, BUT it will not be the same and probably will not be for a long time.....
RIP to a bluenose, a father and simply DAD.

It’s the reviews that either don’t happen or are 10 seconds long. I’d love to see the offside against Dessers.

But on top of that, it’s all the sleekit decisions that just effect the flow of the game. The linesman absolutely loved his flag in the first 10 minutes today and it set the tone.

Muir then had words with our medical staff as he forced Dessers off the park early door and it set the tone for the game. Spittal goes down holding his face, allowed back on instantly right in the middle of a passage of play.

Whistle never out his mouth when Motherwell had the ball, desperate to give them anything.

Goldson was rolling around the ground with a head knock at one point and play was resumed, it's fucking clear as day sparkle. It's the small things cunts forget to remember, when the likes of the red card tackle is in the spotlight and gets fobbed off, or the hand ball that was similar to lundstrams, you'll not see or probably ever see in replays if you were at the game.
