Goodson has been our best centre back - one poor mistake does not change that - it’s great we have 4 decent centre backs but neither Katic nor Goldson have done anything to warrant being dropped at this stage - in fact the more they play together the better they will be.

We have lost one game all year. Until Goldson's fuck up, at no time were we ever behind to any team.  I'm extremely confident we will be fine. Not to mention we have added a very talented young player. Getting back on track sounds exaggerated to me.

Scotland haven't qualified for anything since 1998. This isn't 2012 related or a new thing

    Great observation there.
Now the game is becoming more family orientated the wee girls will have the opportunity to have the same expectations as the wee boys, dreaming of scoring goals in a blue jersey, And their parents will be just as proud either way.
    Fair play to all.

There is more to having top level Women's football teams than worrying about the size of crowds, commercial aspects and comparative standards of play.
Participation at all levels is one of the main reasons for having a structure at the top levels - if there is no pathway to the top, no role models then there is less participation. Many mock the Women's game but in terms of participation its a huge factor and Rangers are right to play there part, in the same way the club  have a role to play in the overall development of men's football at the grass roots, and football at all the developmental levels.
Also if Women's Football don't create a competitive structures then they will never improve and I am glad the club are doing their bit to promote this and its a fairly small minded person that would deny them the glory and honour of playing for Rangers.

It's mad to think that we would not want to promote the game, and the club to potentially half of the population of Scotland.

More visibility, increased fan base, more merchandising and that all means more revenue -  it’s not really that difficult to see the benefits if one looks

Most sports aren't self-sustaining when trying to gain traction.  Most businesses aren't, and have to be backed until it does become self-sustaining. Heck, Scottish football in general isn't self-sustaining.
Women's football is a growth area, young girls are running about wearing Rangers gear, women going to games is increasing and actively supporting Rangers. Women's football will have benefits for the first team, and the club should actively promote all areas of the sport.

How many players have we developed purely through the development ranks? Do you think the club has no social responsibility at all?  Should the club not be a focus for a footballing initiative?
Some may not like it but ladies football as a spectator sport and as participation sport is on the rise and I am proud that my club are part of that . It’s also good marketing as it opens up our club and says to women you are welcome here. To object to us running a top class ladies team and a women’s development path seems to me both short sighted and small  minded.

It’s actually interesting to watch as it grows just how they handle what is essentially a clean slate when it comes to sports management.

The way things are going worldwide, women's football is going to leave men's football behind,  in backward thinking countries such as ours, in terms of popularity and sponsorship.

31,000 at the the Etihad yesterday would beg to differ that 'theres no appetite' for it. The WSL has made great progress in a very short time.
Improving the skill levels and the competitiveness of the leagues will help. The fact that few womens teams had support from established clubs was part of the issue.

I think its only right that they are welcomed to Rangers.      Whatever the views the fact is they will be playing football representing Rangers and I hope they are proud to do so.     Their relatives and friends might also be encouraged to come and see the Famous Glasgow Rangers - whether its the womans team or the first team male team - and that means more supporters, more opportunity for the Club to earn revenue from ticket and merchandise sales and more football goodwill in times where there is far too much anti-Rangers sentiment in the game here in Scotland.
I hope they have a successful football career at Rangers.

My niece is a young bearette. She loves football as much as any guy and I hope by the time she's an adult, there's a real path to pro football for her. The more we as a club get behind it, the more Rangers ladies will be a successful team in their own right when it eventually becomes main stream.

Women who want to play football are only doing it to tick a box? You don't think they might actually want to play football?
Utterly bizarre comment, especially coming from a woman.

Seriously though, its getting prompted by every FA but unless they start giving women growth hormones the keepers will be useless forever.  (Was it Perugia that tried to sign a woman for their mens team?🤣)
So maybe we should help. It's a disgrace that Hibs are the best team followed by Glasgow city then THEM then us. We probably should get behind them and see how good they can get. Some of the US teams could give bottom of the spl teams a game (probably get humped, but could probably keep the ball better) Man City has probably the best UK team (anyone seen their academy? Makes ours look a joke)
So hopefully these 3 players move the team up a level...

The club are obviously trying to promote the woman's team, infact, the "game" seems to be trying to promote woman's football and it is (slightly) better than it used to be.
Should we have a new forum for this team? Could also put the reserves in there and the under's teams...
