We play 2 matches before they play again so hopefully we can get the 6 points. They then play twice before our next match against them. Looks like we could win it when we aren't playing or against them at Hampden. If we win both our matches and they draw either of their matches, we win it when not playing.

My impression from other player comments is that players generally have less time on the ball in the lower divisions?

I would have liked Chris to pull Spiers and Thomson up on the new club references and then Thomson's comment that tax avoidance is an unfair advantage. Tax avoidance is legal and open to all clubs so how is it an unfair advantage.

The only way there is any chance of stopping it is through pressure applied by the club on these fans. Anyone moaning on here ends up getting abuse. If the songs focus on Rangers we are half way to stopping it.

It'll be a disgrace if this new setup gets voted through. It's like Regan, Doncaster and Lawwell went for a few pints and came out with this "plan" and will probably try to come up with answers to valid questions as they go along

Chris Graham made this point in his article tonight after listening to Graham Spiers

The only clubs who might not want it just now are division 2 clubs as this would cut the number of games against Rangers from 4 to 2. However the teams at the bottom of div 2 might be worried of getting relegated and missing out on Rangers. Also the 2 teams at the top of div 2 will think they could be fasttracked into a more lucrative first division. Sadly I think this will go through. Would rather it went through 2014/15 if it had to.

Personally I don't mind the 8-8-8 split. Once we are in the top league there will be 36 games and no home and away mismatch. I hope it is delayed until 2014-15 season though as I'd rather avoid playing against some of the same teams next season. Also delaying is only fair if teams are currently playing to win promotion and win a play-off place. If it's delayed till 2014-15 we aim for top 2 and we are in second tier with games against some "SPL" teams after the split if we are in the top 4.

Good gesture by the Liverpool fans who did it out of respect to the 66 As said by quite a few guys already, only way to unofficially show their respect during a football match. Disappointed in some responses in this thread.

Definitely a myth. The owner was good friends with Goram so got him to basically hang out in the Quarry on a regular basis when he bought the Quarry around 7 years ago. Think the owner now also owns the Vogue in Rutherglen and years ago he was in the papers saying he wanted to give cash to Rangers, £10m or so, publicity stunt.....

As someone said he is a reporter for The Herald. I follow him on twitter, he is always interested in Rangers and defo has no agenda. Backed Rangers to the hilt about retaining our history etc.

Him writing a prologue or whatever it is for phil 5 names (the man tarred with a sectarian brush) is the one we should be using just now.

no this is the screen dump. Even if there is a Rangers comment on his twitter timeline it is not part of the same conversation! We really shouldn't be making a big deal out of this. I am shocked at the reactions on here.

I think some folk are looking at his timeline on twitter and thinking he may be referring to Rangers fans. HOWEVER if you actually click on the Dalek tweet you can see the conversation this relates to - nothing to do with Rangers. I can take a screen dump and post it when i get home from work but basically it is: Alex Thomson - there are lots of wasps about in Liverpool Random - refers to the wasps being riled about something Alex Thomson - refers to wasps as Daleks There is no reference to Rangers - just because he is referring to Rangers in other tweets around the same time does not mean its part of the same conversation. If we make much more of this, it will undermine any legitimate reasons we have for complaining about him or other journalists in the future.

I checked twitter and you can see the conversation. He mentioned wasps, someone else mentioned that they were riled about something and then he compared them to daleks. No issue there for me! Don't like the guy at all but we should pick our fights better. Otherwise we look like the unwashed mob.
