Rangers are delighted to announce that the Women’s first-team and Academy have become fully integrated within the club’s football department.

The exciting move means Rangers will have the opportunity to recruit professional players, as well as turn some of our existing players professional.

Rangers Women will now play all their home games at the Hummel Training Centre, when the second half of their season resumes in August, following a break for the summer’s World Cup.

The new stand at the club’s training facility has been developed in line with Scottish Women’s Premier League requirements for this purpose.

In an ideal world expanding the stadium is a no brainer but depending on the extent of the work it could be a huge cost if we need to knock sections down to start again. How much would such a project cost  more or less than £30 million??? I do think at some point we need to seriously consider it as the extra revenue would be massive.

14,000 on the waiting list?    That's a hell of a lot of money we are losing,   Fill the corners in properly and get the attendance up by another at least another 7 or 8.000 . 6000 paying customers alone at  £450 is £2.7m so think of the revenue we would / will lose over the next decade because Ibrox only holds a little over 50,000.
Yes money is very tight but surly the 3 bears and King could pay for it and take it back off the club every year at a very low interest rate  as it would pay for itself in no time.  
I think Ibrox is an amazing stadium and this would improve it no ends .

With a ST waiting list of 14,000 I wander if there are any plans to expand the stadium. Have no idea how much it would cost tbh but seeing as ticket money is our main revenue stream surely it should be under consideration.

Who knows mate, there was talk a while back about removing the screens or adding another tier to the Copland road.
Fuck knows what the logistics would be or cost etc. But it's crazy if we're not even considering it, with 14k people looking to buy a season ticket.

That was my thought as well.  Is it viable, where would it be done?
14k waiting list suggests we could easily add another 10-15k seats and still fill the ground.

How are 14,000 people going to be able to sit on 2000 seats?
The extra season ticket income would soon pay off the expansion work.

Agree 100% but due to the neglect the players area was becoming a tip mate , chips out all the doors marks over all the walls , rot at the bottom of the wood in the dressing room that was becoming black , if all this can be gutted keeping the tradition along the way great , but I think it’s to far gon 

Rangers has stepped in to help save the day for a community gala.
Milngavie Community Development Trust was in need of a pitch for Milngavie Week - but now Rangers has made The Hummel Training Centre available.
Milngavie Week runs from June 8 to 15. It includes a dog show, children’s treasure hunt, senior citizens bus trip, pond dipping and a silent disco. It is entirely organised by volunteers and local organisations.
A local resident had offered to run a football competition for young people, but the organisers couldn’t find a pitch. They asked Rangers if they could use their training pitch, which is in the East Dunbartonshire town. The club then offered the use of their facilities.
Now local youngsters from four different boys’ clubs will get a chance to play at the training ground, which cost £14million to build in 2001.
Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson said: “We are delighted to be able to help this local initiative. We’re proud to be part of the Milngavie community, and wish everyone all the very best with the event.”
 

No signs of distress for the majority is thank fuck Rangers are selling out at our ground.

A few weeks ago a close mate of mines @Mr Sopranouncle passed away suddenly and this left a young boy without a father.
Rangers have found out about this and have issued him with an invite to be their special guest on a tour of the stadium with no cost. Ryan Jack has also hand signed the letter and from.what I hear when these things have been done in the past the player will be there to meet the person they've invited. 
So for that young boy that will be immense meeting one of our arguably best and most consistent performers who also scored a winner v them.
It's not much and won't take the boys pain away but what a gesture and when I was shown the letter then hand signed non generic print signature actually give it a pretty sincere feeling.
We get slaughtered for a lot of things but for me that was a pretty moving thing to do for a young boy who'll be feeling pretty lost just now.
