The very best captains are not necessarily the best players, they're not necessarily someone who shouts and moans on the pitch. But every single one of them are mentally strong. 
Greig, Gough, Ferguson, Weir, Butcher etc, all very different men and players but they were mentally strong and focused on winning above all else.
Tav and Goldson whatever you think of them as players are simply not cut from the same cloth.

I’m pretty sure Lundstram has been offered a deal already and it just hasn’t been announced. I think Phil loves him and id be stunned if he’s not signing a new contract 

One of my boy’s mates was at the game with his school, and they did it for the semifinal last year, as well. Games like that and City can’t fill their stadium with their own fans. It’s great for kids to see that kind of match live, but their fans are shit.

I just find it baffling that we are on for a treble,were favourites to win the league, and....the belief just dies with the finish line in site.
I cannot understand how enough people in the team - people who have had the discipline and drive to make it in professional sport - can collectively lose that drive. I cannot comprehend that.

It genuinely seems to be bothering him. Maybe he's cut from a different cloth from those who lead this squad, and I respect him for calling it out, but this in absolute confirmation of everything we've all suspected. This squad do not have the mentality to win a title. Its not speculation anymore.

It’s actually quite damning on players who have been here so long that a 20 year old knows more about expectation, responsibility and pressure.
Its a privilege to be a professional football first and foremost but to get the chance to play for big clubs is something that not many will get the opportunity to do so and you have to be prepared to take the good and the bad.
For me I see fear in these players, it’s why you get the shitey sideways passing because they don’t want to take the chance of upsetting the crowd for a misplaced forward pass.

Effort and desire beat teams who have nothing in the tank. 
4 managers now, these players need chased out the club and the board need called out if they aren't.

Tav will always be Tav. He’s either an 8/10 or a 4/10. 
The issue is that he’s currently the only player in our squad who is capable of rising to the occasion. It’s been years since we had another player who can step up to the mantle and drag us through games. When others fail to show up - Tav has saved their skin… when Tav has a stinker or finds himself on a bad run of form there’s nobody else who’s willing or capable of stepping up. We are so one dimensional.
In reality it’s fucking nuts that we expect so much from a right back… it’s also quite frankly insane that the club have let it get this far. What other team in the modern game has spent the best part of 8 years building their entire team and style of play around a right back!?
We have built a team that allows him to smash personal records… but it’s came at the detriment of the clubs wider success.
I say this as a massive fan of his… it’s time to go. We need a massive culture change at the club.

He's still pulled of some really great saves but end of the day, a keeper is only as good as his defence.
And there's only so much a keeper can so at that point

I cannot understand the performance drop.
I've been involved in title challenges at amatuer level both as a player and as a organiser and well..... Once you were at the business end and had a sniff of winning - it was easy to run a team. Mood was great, everyone was willing, everyone tried, etc.
Sure the performance would drop off if the challenge died, but until that point..... 
I know it's amatuer level, but surely it scales up to the pro ranks? Chance to win a treble and become legends?
Our drop off is bizarre.
Against Ross County it was like guys downed tools and stopped caring. I cannot understand why that would even happen with so much at stake - even if the players hated Clement. 

All he had to say was performance and result not good enough. We lacked intensity etc
 
To come out and say we were well structured and organised and that he seen a reaction was just patronising pish.
