  1. It's difficult to predict which starting XI Warburton will go with for this game. One thing is for sure and that's that the midfield of Halliday, Barton and Rossiter does not work. You have to go with 2 at most from those 3. I think Warburton will stick with Rossiter and Barton so that means Halliday drops to the bench. Given the impact that he had from the bench on Saturday I'd say that Krancjar will get the nod ahead of Halliday. The defence picks itself at the moment with no more centre halves being linked and Senderos still training but not signed. The front 3 is harder to pick; I'm not su
  2. I watched the majority of Celtic's 5-0 win against Motherwell the other week and McGhee's side, as expected, lay down to them. He changed his formation to a 5-4-1 with Johnson supporting McDonald when they rarely attacked. McGhee sacrificed one of his biggest attacking threats in Lionel Ainsworth and this allowed Celtic to dominate possession cause Motherwell countless problems. I'll be surprised if he sets his team up like this against us tomorrow. He will revert to the 4-3-3 and look to hit us on the break with their pace down the wings. When we faced them in July they tried to expose T
  3. Are we definitely in the game? People on Twitter are saying that EA have confirmed Rangers won't be in the game.
  4. When was the last time time a team were really shitting themselves coming to Ibrox? For far too long teams have come to Ibrox thinking they can get a result as they knew the team in blue weren't fit to be wearing the jersey. That is going to change this season. Teams will now come to Ibrox and try and keep the score down rather than thinking they have a chance of getting a result. We have a lot to sort out in defence, but this team will only get better in attack. I bet Peterhead are shitting it already.
  5. I think we will see another 3 or 4 signings before the window shuts. I am happy to see what Warburton and Weir can do with the players they inherited. You would hope they could get more out of the likes of Law, Shiels and even Templeton. They will have had a look at some of the youth players as well who hopefully feel like they have a chance to break into the team.
  6. He has had a lot of trouble with injuries since he left and as far as I'm aware he has only made 1 appearance on the bench and that was against Boro in the first leg of their playoff match.
  7. I remember reading somewhere when he signed last year that there was an extra year if we achieved promotion. If we do get promoted hopefully he doesn't take up that option.
  8. Allegri had some decent performances against Barcelona when he was at Milan and that Milan team were not as good as this current Juve team. The final should be a close game but I think Neymar, Suarez and Messi will see Barca over the line.
  9. I think Templeton is better through the middle behind the striker. I would imagine he will be sold in the summer for a couple hundred grand.
  10. I think Mohsni for McCulloch will be the only change. If Miller was RKO'd last night he might have to sit this one out as well.
  11. I really didn't expect him to do as well as he has so far. He and Kenny Black have done a great job. McCall has a passion for the job, he knows the expectations the fans have and add to that a bit of tactical know how and he suddenly has a group of players playing a lot better. What I like is that you know he and Black are already planning for the QotS game, setting up the team in a way in which we can beat them. Under McCoist you knew it would be the same players every week who were playing shite and the same bad performance week in week out. McCall has brought a bit of passion and a bit of f
  12. One of the things I was most impressed with was when he said Kenny Black upon hearing there was a good chance they'd get the job, drove up from Sheffield to watch the Hibs-Livingston game. Shows they have the commitment to try and turn things around for us.
  13. Going by the betting we are looking at Magath, McCall or Davies.
  14. If McCulloch is fit it will be the same starting line up as last Friday. Hopefully we can start taking more of our chances.
  15. The performance wasn't as good as the one against Hibs but we created just as many chances, just a shame we couldn't take them. The score line flattered them to say the least.
  16. A few really good suggestions in there. It just highlights the need for some fresh faces in the team.
  17. After the last couple of performances the team should see big changes, but I would be surprised if we see wholesale changes, it's just not McDowall's style. Ian Black should be nowhere near the team and I think he will be the only change from the defeat at Raith (depending on Streete's fitness). I would like to see Murdoch play but if Bigirimana is fit then he will come in for Black.
  18. 7-1 aggregate over the two league games, it is hard to argue with him. He has his team playing a lot better than ours. They appear to have a philosophy, they have their team focussed around a creative midfielder (who is a massive Rangers fan and was apparently desperate to join us last summer) and we have struggled to stop him so far. Until we get a new manager with some vision and some better players, we will continue to fail to beat teams like Hibs. It's depressing saying that, but it is where we are at the moment.
  19. It's been evident in the big league games this season that we are seriously overrun in midfield. Yesterday we were crying out for an extra player in the middle to get a hold of the game. It says it all about our coaching staff that they only ever change personnel and never the shape or tactics. We need to change our system to either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-5-1. We need to start dominating possession in matches and in order for us to do that we need to give our midfield some help. In terms of personnel I think we need to seriously shake things up. With everyone fit and nobody out on loan this is what
  20. If I was in charge for the game I'd line up like this - Simonsen Foster McGregor Zaliukas Wallace Aird Law Black Templeton Boyd Clark
  21. It was based on league positions from last season.
