  1. Sad to say but i'd take it. Definitely.
  2. Couldn't expect much more tbh, given all the circumstances.
  3. WTF has kicked all this shit off again? Rangers FC is close to a tipping point and all (some) people appear to be interested in is having arguments with each other. I really wish (some) people on messagebaords would stop waggling their cocks in the air, stop taking the piss out of fellow Bears and calm down for 5 minutes. Take some Valium, crack one off or have a spliff FFS. Rangers is heading for the grubber and when all this is done there will be a lot of very angry people if we, the supporters, can't sort things out.
  4. Quite right mate, everything will be just fine. Nothing to worry about. FFS. Its mind boggling eh Quite incredible mate.
  5. The OP seems to suggest the level of debt and the price for the club is the same thing, I don’t understand that at all…. The BANK has told Murray to sell. They are due £30m. They get an offer of £30m, they get their cash and they are out of here. Murray is not making the decisions, he is simply trying to recover a few small £m's if he possibly can. In the end the bank will decide.

  7. One of the first notable themes to emerge from Rangers fanzines (which preceded message-boards and websites by some way) was the question of media bias. Obviously, until then, one never heard of it in the media, be it TV, radio or the press. “Weird”, I thought...... By the way; for media ‘bias’, read ‘agenda’. They may not literally be the same thing, but for all intents and purposes, an agenda (if there is one and it can be classed as slanted in one way or another) and a bias is the same thing. They each represent a skew towards a specific view, opinion or position. And so, here we are - a long time later - and, step forward G. Spiers. Now, if you think I’m arguing that Mr. Spiers is in the wrong for pointing out that Rangers fans shouted “f*ck the pope” on Sunday in Ibrox Stadium, I am not going where you think. He is perfectly entitled to discuss this issue if he wants; it’s a free press after all, and the people amongst us who shout “f*ck the pope” would surely agree or argue that free speech is an enshrined and given right in this hard-fought-for free society? The issue is not Spiers’ opinion or choosing to voice his opinions about Rangers and Rangers fans. The issue is that, despite possibly 1000 opportunities even since this football season started, that he chooses – yes chooses – to take up this crusade where there is only one target and only one loser; Rangers FC. Actually, make that two; add us, the Rangers fans. This man has to be stopped in his tracks. He is – 100% - knowingly and intentionally stirring the pot. He hopes to gain credence, publicity, and (possibly?) a change in supporter behaviour at Rangers. He sees himself as some sort of antithesis to the sports-writing world (and the real world) which he reluctantly, and with difficulty, ‘inhabits’. Well good for him. The man does Rangers no good. He makes it his mission to cast shadows over good work and strengthen – in fact begin to build – arguments against you and me. And all the while he turns a blind or a cursory eye to everything else that’s questionable within the culture of football. There’s hardly a need to argue that homophobic chants are illegal, yet they occur. There’s hardly a need to highlight that causing offence by mocking people who live in “slums” or genuinely go hungry in the middle of a recession is in poor taste (I know that as a football fan this is hardly offensive, but it could be seen as such none-the-less). There’s hardly a need to even begin to say that listening to songs and chants which decry and insult the Servicemen and women of our country are extremely offensive to many, many people. But they don’t matter. Only one issue – sectarianism – matters in the world of G. Spiers. We know who his target is. Don’t let’s lie down against this agenda-laden freak. But don’t fight back by shouting “f*ck the pope” or in any other ill-conceived way. Fight back by damaging this man professionally in whatever way you can - and do his utterings and mutterings the twisted damage that they deserve. Find a way. Like it or not, he is here and he has us in his sights. He chose this, not us. It’s time for Rangers FC to step forward. This guy has an agenda, he is biased, he is out to get us and he’s bad news. If Rangers are indeed cowardly (as Spiers says) and won't do it, then we must. As they say in certain parts of Englandshire; “best get rid”.
  8. Any Rangers pub is welcome and good imo.
  9. So you're not bothered about the club potentially getting into trouble? Motherwell's responsibility, its their ground after all, their stewards obviously were not doing their job. With all due respect I believe you may be unfamiliar with the situation regarding responsibility. No club has received a warning for failing to control the singing of visiting fans as far as I'm aware. However a visiting club has received a warning for singing eminating from a section its visiting fans. On refletion, I think you might already know that.
  10. Long ball game doesn't suit him either. I know we had some nice play as well, but the big hoof was used too often today.

  12. Signed up yesterday but not really had the chance to have a good look at it yet. Have the FF and RST brigade hijacked it already? I think it is a good idea for the RSA to have this and I would hope they allow free speech on their forum. There's a lot of chat about "what website do you come from" type of thing, mainly from FF people and VB's. No mention of the RST that I've seen. If people are looking for free speech on there they need to calm down because its been a chimp's tea party since yesterday, although it's settling a bit now. If the club are looking in they'll be horrified We'll need to see how it develops when things settle down I suppose.
  13. Now we have had a bit of debate about this on the MB so i would be interested to hear peoples thoughts on this. I would say it couldn't be clearer and it also confirms what i said all along, and many refused to accept, that videos of us singing FTP introduced at the appeal by uefa helped contexulise the billy boys (rightly or wrongly) and this was a big part to us losing the appeal. See, I find that wording interesting, its in 2 parts, Billy Boys is prohibited or "banned" yet, fuck the pope and f****n are only condemned? Does that not actually contridict itself? Technically? It is apparently the "motive" behind Billy Boys, not the actual words, if f****n , fuck and the pope arent? It's possible to nit-pick this 'statement' because it's not very well put together. It comes acress as a mixture of "quotes" from UEFA, opinion and analysis, but in actual fact there are no actual "quotes". So its not clear exactly what was said and what wasn't. Seeing as this cat is out of the bag now, it would be useful if UEFA's actual directive could be published by the assembly word for word. I'm not criticising for the sake of it, but whoever put this together should have a re-think.
