  1. I was going to check the pics out but won't bother now!
  2. See if you can guess who I am..... I was plain for Rapid Vienna when I got the call from Rangers. I jumped on a playing and as soon as I got to Murray Park it was plane to see I wanted to be at the club.....depending on the Aston Villa result obviously!
  3. You sound like me a week or so ago when I was trying to convince some that Gordon Durie wasn't a Rangers legend. Good player, yes. Legend, no. For me the same applies to Fergie, good player who gave 100% for the club but never a legend. 'Nine in a row legend', fair enough but can't be classed in the top bracket of players to grace our jersey! Like you I believe 'legend' is used all to easily and the word begins to lose its meaning. You can't class Fergie in the same bracket as Greig etc.
  4. Looks attacking but Shiels and Law needs addressed before the season kicks off!
  5. Vuckic isn't a striker and won't ever be our striker whether he signs or not. When he played behind a striker he was largely ineffective. His best position for us was wide right cutting in on his left and I don't think he has the pace to play wide right in a Warburton team.
  6. How is it possible Fabian Delph can join Man City for as little as £8m? In this era where EPL player prices are grossly inflated and we see average players routinely going for £20m+ how can an 25 year old England midfielder be allowed to go to another EPL club for so little? I understand he has some release clause in his contract but I just don't understand how Villa could allow such a clause when he's not long ago signed a 5 year deal! Astonishing!
  7. I don't know how you can be old enough to remember Jardine but still include Ian Ferguson!
  8. I don't think Novo is but I can see why some would regard him as a legend. Durie still no though.
  9. I think the standards to be a 'legend' should be ridiculous otherwise the word starts to lose its true meaning!
  10. He's the single worst pundit I've had the misfortune of listening too! Only a ball hair below that cunt Pat Nevin right enough!
  11. Novo I can accept I may be wrong, my thoughts are down to the fact that I thought he wasn't very good. I can't deny he scored very important goals for us but in general he was rubbish. First touch crap and finishing pretty poor but due to the importance of the goals he scored I can see why he is regarded as a legend. Durie I'm still not having though!
  12. In my opinion neither Novo or Ricksen are Rangers legends either no.
  13. Haha, I didn't think he was, maybe I'm wrong. I'm glad others are on my side, I was beginning to think I had lost the plot!
  14. Lol, he really wasn't. He was a decent honest player in a fantastic team/squad!
  15. I'm sure you were at the game or have seen the video or both. Laudrup was unstoppable that day and while Durie still had to put the chances away, any striker would have scored 3 that day, it just happened to be Durie. Don't get me wrong it's a fantastic achievement but it doesn't make him a legend in my book!
  16. I'm obviously in the minority, but in my opinion Durie, as decent as he was, is no where near a Rangers legend!
  17. 125 games in 7 season, under 18 games a season when the team was probably playing closer to 50/60, hardly legendary stats. Plus winning 6 titles as a squad player, although still impressive, again doesn't quite cut it as legendary. Maybe our definitions of 'legend' are different!
  18. I have an argument. As much as he did well for Rangers are you seriously classing him along side Greig, Cooper, Laudrup, Gascoigne etc? In my opinion he is no where near a legend! If one hat trick classes you as a legend we better add some others in there too! With Laudrup playing the way he did that day it would have been harder not to score a hat trick!
  19. Really, a legend? I must have missed that part of his Rangers career!
