  1. Wonder if he speaks English though. His Da' is Scottish.
  2. Hes not very good and is probably at the level he will peak at. Apparently a wee ned also, we hardly need a piss head prima donna with assualt charges. If hes the best young player in Scotland then we have issues.
  3. Thats were they have all their youth players now, they put a comprehensive and admittedly very impressive system in place last season. All the lads go to the same school were the make sure they eat right, have arrangements with teachers etc, do their homework and Lennoxtown and train before school etc. Apparently its modelled on the PSV youth system or something, they had a thing on it on Sky Sports not long ago, first in the UK. They train something like 9 times a week, which I think is the right idea considering most lads just pop on the Xbox or hit the bevvy outwith the 3 odd traning sessions at most club. Allows them to keep and eye and make sure they don't go down the wrong road etc. Would like to see us implement something similar.
  4. Good young player, I don't think hes a finished SPL player yet though. And at 18-19 would be to young to make it into a Smith team.
  5. Was always a good attacking player at Hibs - I feel we may have trained that out of him in his role here, but still tidy on the ball. Shame he has lost so much time to injury but he has time to develop into a top drawer player. Good today.
  6. Have to wonder about what they are doing in training if such a prospect can turn out like that.
  7. im literally in tears here.
  8. Its barely mathematically possible, yer aff yer nut.
  9. I still think he will sign a new deal when Walter does.
  10. Should be: Kev 100% will be: Lee
  11. The SPL Cheif Exec is up for it. They tested the water and 4 chairmen said they wanted things exactly how they are (an 11-1 vote is needed for changes). Its the SPL chairmen that dont want it, the powers that be are perhaps finally realising change that is needed. In short, nothing will ever happen.
  12. Its all very well us banging on about what should be done, but as we know the quality of football in the counry is not the concern of those who have a say in the matter - its lining their own pockets. A 16-18 team SPL and restructuring in the lower leagues could save Scottish club football and the National team but while Scottish football moves to a slow but sure death, the quo seems to be preferred than a short term dent in finances for potential long term gain. For this reason, imo, it sadly will never happen.
  13. With the the league wrapped up, Fleck and Ness should be given a run of starts to prepare them for a role next season. This won't happen though, we don't seem to think much further than the 90 minutes ahead.
  14. 16 team league with playoffs for relegation would be best. This will NEVER happen though. SPL chairmen will not sacrifice 2 visits from the old firm each season, Willie Miller for example.
  15. Don't suppose we have a chance in getting him now he is seemingly Premiership bound. Apparently heading down to Wigan to be shown the ropes in coming weeks. Played a fair amount of games for Hamilton at 22 and its captain. Good midfielder whenever ive seen him. Premiership quality you think?
  16. Why try and bring through youngsters with fans like this? He deserves games like all the youngsters, but he needs to try and not be a superstar every time he gets the ball, he's impressing no one Fair dos, but I think he feels he has to do everything just to get another chance to get on the pitch - hes desperate to impress because he knows he might not get a minute on for another month or so.
  17. Why try and bring through youngsters with fans like this?
  18. Exactly, if WS isn't going to try them in this position, they may aswell leave in the summer. Ness especially, he potentially could have a career elsewhere.
  19. Can be tempting for a young lad, but hopefully he sees sense. Centre half of all positions is a tough place to break through at such an age in such a quality league. He'd spend years being punted around on loan.
  20. I know, I know. There are a good few on here that would say he has done nothing to deserve it, but... I feel that Fleck realises WS doesn't fancy him/youth and seems so over eager to do everything when he gets a chance, which leads to him doing the greedy. I think a player like Fleck, given our posistion and that WS will be less likely to try him out next season when the pressure is back on, he should be told he will be given a run of 4-5 games regardless of performance. I think this is the kind of thing a youngsters like him would respond to and he would calm down and play a more relaxed game rather than trying to do everything, knowing that his minutes are likely to be limited even if he does well. Thoughts? I just think its very short sighted not to take advantage of this position and given a lad we may depend on in future years some real game time.
